Mark Dobmeier caught Danny Lasoski in traffic just a few laps from the finish to win at Knoxville tonight. Really good runs for third place Lynton Jeffrey and fourth place Trvis Cram, too.
Excellent racetrack for the feature and good job to start on time and finish at 9:53 pm. Decent crowd of around 3,000 tonight. The feature was an excellent race.
A little light on cars with 26 410s and 28 360s but that's a sign of the times, perhaps.

Excellent run by Dobmeier
Lasoski wouldn't even go to the podium for the pictures.
Must have been looking for Kleenex to wipe the tears.

Knoxville gets an A for tonight.
Brian gets an A+ for getting the crowd in the stands.
I always knew that it could be done, VERY happy to see that it was done on a night when the grandstand was full of guests more than race fans, lets hope by doing a professional job tonight, some of the guests develop into regular fans!

With the way the economy is today, there are going to be some nights when car counts are going to be a little smaller than in the past. Until we get closer to the 410 & 360 Nationals later this summer, some more "outsiders" will come & race there.

Don't forget that next weekend is the Pepsi USAC King Doodlebug Midget Classic + American Sprint Cars on Tour (ASCoT) 360 KCCS #10.... This will be a barn burner as the 360 teams are starting to tune up for the 360 nationals.... Given the features lately this could be a real screamer...Don't miss it....Come early, midget practice is Thurs night and stay the entire weekend...

Two awesome features two weeks in a row. They got the track just right the last two Saturday nights.

Dobmeier was fast ... no doubt about that. He looked like he found another gear compared to the others (Cram excepted) We went down to see why Brian Brown dropped out and some woman was chewin' Dobmeier's a$$ about wrecking her kid. It was almost embarrassing the way she was carrying on. Is this something he did earlier this year? She was so incoherent I couldn't (and didn't want to) follow her rant.
