I have been coming to the races for years and have been a die hard fan, even donating money when I am able too. After tonight's post race incident it's going to be a while since me and my family come back. It was a great race and the ending was truly a "racing deal". It is now twice now that I have left the speedway this year with a disgusted feeling. This family fun, good competition, great sportsmanship sport has turned into no more than a WWF anything goes circus. The owner of the track in the past has done nothing to police the actions of the drivers on the track and I am very sure that if anything its only going to be a slap on the wrist! Driving backwards on the track ramming into the other car doing major damage to it deserves some kind of suspension, these actions will not stop till someone puts there foot down. I am neither a Tim or Andy fan just a sprint car racing fan in general but why come to something where there is basically no ramifications with actions like that. A dnf?? fine??? would only be a slap on the wrist! Wish this sport the best let me know when this track cleans it's act up!

Typical Kaeding move. Its sad,  Tim can drive a car like no one else but he has to pull his head out of his ass. Can't wait until Dirt Cup, will the fireworks continue???????

I wasn't at the races last night but, it sounds like Tim didn't make the best choice. I just get so sick of the "typical Kaeding move" crap, it's not a typical Tim Kaeding move. You people never seem to bring up stunts that are pulled by other drivers, like at Placerville two weeks ago when Statler ran into Henry after the checkerd flag in the heat and he went off the end of the track and was on fire, no one said anything or when Statler when after Blake Robertson a few weeks earlier at Chico but, when it 's Kaeding you all jump on it.

Its not a typical Kaeding move, the HK would never do something like that.

Wheelied;

You make an excellent point about the "stunt's pulled by other drivers" never getting mentioned. There are a few other driver's, thankfully just a few, that pull crap on the track week after week and never is that mentioned. I can think of 3 "stunts" this year that I was amazed nothing was ever posted about here. I actually don't think the message board here is the place for any of this kind of thing. When you get right down to it only the two people involved know exactly what happened and why and it is for them to sort out, not us.

No matter the situation, there is never an incident that calls for the intentional destruction of your competitor's vehicle (excluding a demolition derby). Tempers may fly in the heat of competition and no participant goes on the track thinking about intentionally damaging their competitor's equipment. On the other hand, any collision between cars, that is not a direct result of the racing competition, is an egregious violation of the spirit of the sport. To me this type of act is similar to assault. I have always thought Carl Edward caught off way too easy when he ran into Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s driver side door after that race in Michigan. If I were over the Wiseman household playing beanbags and the game did not work out in my favor, is it okay if I go outside get my car and smash through the front of the house? Do I need to answer that? I know there will be those who will say, "Boys will be boys" (no talk about Danica here). Do not get me wrong, I am a big Tim fan but this is wrong and he needs to be reprimanded harshly for this.

I was not a Chico last night (I wish I had been!). Maybe Andy made a mistake and did something he should not have done but that does not excuse the post race behavior. Two wrongs do not make a right! People make mistakes and they can learn from them. I do not think Tim needs to be banished but maybe he should spend the next week over at the Forsberg shop rebuilding a race car.

Just my two cents.

Kerry

granted Tim should not have done that,,there is no excuse for that,,,ever,,,you want to talk about tearing up a guys equip Forsberg sent tim into the front stretch fence tearing up Tims car first to get the win,,, why should Tim have to spend time at forsbergs shop to rebuild his equipment,,,Tim should have towed his car to the pits and beat the shit out of Andy for doing that,,,but I guess when you only win twice a year you have to do what you have to do to win.........

just my two cents

I Just want to say a few things about the situation everyone seems to be making a big deal about. I think we all understand that this is a competition...now in every competition we have seen someone get a cheap shot aka TIM. He should have won that race but hey thats the life a dirty game as we know. Now Im not saying running into the winner is a good idea but let me tell u I would have gottin out of the car and beat the shit out of the guy and yelled at him too. I know Tim personally and he is not a violent person and loves this competition. He is always fair and friendly treats everyone like family...but when u get fucked over in the game u love i know u would be pissed too. The last thing i want to say is look at Tims past races I think we all know he is the shit..the funnest to watch....and always places. Get over it people this isnt the first time u see a little outrage in a competition or a game. Thanks for reading Smile

" I have been coming to the races for years and have been a die hard fan... "

So Friday was the only "Post Race" incident you have been witness to?

Maybe only a fan since the late 70s myself, but I have seen a ton of garbage from pre-race, during and post with any number of drivers from all parts of the Sprint Car Racing venues across the country and I agree it's often ridiculous behavior at times, but has and will never deter me from attending another race.

The benefits of many, many great races will always overshadow the very few 'tarded behaviors of the drivers-even when I like neither the driver nor agree with the incident.

I think everyone who follows Sprint Car racing knows Tim is one of the most exiting drivers in the nation. A few weeks back when he won the Bradway Memorial after the tangle with Hirst, I gave him the benefit of the doubt even though it looked bad. Hirst didn't go demolition derby on him and TK apologized for the incident over the PA system.

I have been thrilled over and over again by the talents of his grandpa, his dad and his brother. I will root for TK (but mostly T-Dub) with everything I have to beat the Outlaws when they make their western swing... but I'm finally starting to understand why he doesn't have an Outlaw ride. It's obvious he has the talent to beat 'em on any given night but I just wonder how the King would of handled Friday's apparent loss of sanity. Loosing money you just won and having a pretty stiff repair bill surely didn't go over very well for Mr. Rolfe. I say If you want to fight respect the equipment you didn't pay for and use your knuckles instead.

With all of that said... if Tim is entered in a race you can bet it's the one I'm going to be at. I know that no matter how the track holds up he can be worth the price of admission! Don't kid yourselves, race promoters are aware of that more then anyone, so you've probably seen the only punishment that is going to be dealt out. When I was a kid in the grandstands at West Capitol Speedway there was always a villain to boo and a hero to cheer. Somebody help me.. I'm still hooked and got my son and grandson hooked too!

Benefit of a doubt with Hirst? What about with Stewart at the Fall Nationals? How come everytime TK crashes someone its a racin deal? Yet when he gets crashed he has to have a hissy fit. Its a real shame too, because he is the most exciting, determined & maybe the best driver of his generation.

I am dumb founded right now, As Andy's wife and someone who has enjoyed going to the Sprint Car Races as long as I can remember it amazes me how ignorant people can be. Tim is one of the most exciting drivers to watch, I have always thought that, but his signiture move is the pass on the high side for the win, infact he did it to Andy at Santa Maria on the last lap. So please tell me as the leader of the race, how did Andy wreck Tim coming off the turn when he was in the lead and on the high side, Tim tried fitting into an area that was to small. They both finished the race 1st and 2nd WAH WAH Tim finished 2nd and it was great for the fans, they got what they paid for a great race! Should all the drivers just move over when Tim is behind them, give me a break! I am pissed over this whole deal, what Tim did was stupid and he could have hurt Andy or an official. Andy is the bread winner in the family he works long hours to give us a roof over our heads, Sprint Car Racing is a Hobby, he drives for free because he just wants to race a sprint car, and he also will spend all week repairing the race car, when he should have been able to have enjoyed the week with his family. I dont know Tims situation, but Andy will work over 50 hours plus in his finish shop and then spend all night repairing a sprint car that should not have to be repaired. Thanks Tim, your little tantrum ruined a lot of peoples night, other winners whom whould have liked to have thanked their Family's and Sponsors for all they have done, but no they did not get to because you got 2nd place instead of 1st. And for all you Tim Keading Fans, It is great to have a hero to watch every weekend, but don't get on the message board and defend something that you know is wrong, especially if you were not there it makes you sound real ignorant and deliberately harming another is wrong no matter who you are. OH! and if they condonded a good fist fight after a race, I am sorry to say but Andy would kick Tim's Ass, I don't think lifting beer bottles every night makes you as strong as someone who lifts weights.

The last statement you made is just plain stupid IMO. Of course your going to say that since that's YOUR HUSBAND!! I don't agree with his(TK) actions that were displayed Friday night, but what's done is done and it can't be taken back. I say everyone move on and get ready for the Dirt Cup to start up next week.

Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down!

Thats the problem I see, everyone gives him a pass on this kind of crap because it's Tim. This isn't the first such incident and if nothing is done it won't be the last.

Just wanted to congratulate Andy on a great race and hope there's many more wins to come this season. Good way to start 292 Racing.
