I think it may have been this comment from the OP:
is a black eye and an emabarrasment to all our local race car drivers
I wonder how he feels about being Posse now?

I have never seen you comment about racing in PA where you weren't taking a cheap shot at guys you don't even see race. That being said, pretty much everyone in this thread objected to the OP claiming any driver -- not just a driver from PA -- should put his life on the line just to impress a message board poster.

I don't think John was taking a cheap shot at any PA driver, but I do think that he may be taking his best shot at some PA posters who are a true embarassment to the good PA people.

Singlefile - I HAVE NEVER TAKEN A CHEAP SHOT AT ANY DRIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Duane got it right. It was a direct response to some PA Posse proud taking a cheap shot at a driver. If you would read my previous posts they are in support of Rahmer and any other driver that feels it necessary to step back on any given night. Take your PA blinders off so you can read the text.

I would also like to point out that I have seen many of the PA guys race. Maybe not in PA but I have seen them race.

Wow, another topic I thought would be dead but isn't...anyway, I wonder how many times drivers have pulled off the track with a "mechanical" issue when the true reason was that they were uncompetitive or uncomfortable? Fred obviously has no problem admitting when he was one, the other, or both, and doesn't need to hide behind a mythical mechanical problem just to save face. I wouldn't doubt that he may not be quite as sharp as he was 15 years ago (I don't know I didn't see him race), but I'm sure he is much smarter than he was 15 years ago and that is why he still wins as many races now as he did then. He knows when to be conservative, he knows when to cut his losses, and anyone that still watches him every weekend is well aware that he still knows when to go for it. I relate this situation to many others in life, especially sports: If it's your favorite football team the year they win the super bowl, then it should still be your favorite football team the next year when they miss the playoffs. If you loved your wife when she looked stunning in a dress, than you better damn well love her when she's sick in bed. Finally, if your gonna cheer for Fred Rahmer when he beats the Outlaws, then it's a pretty classless move not to support him when he makes a decision such as this. I'm not even a fan, but I am an admirer, and I will pull for him more when the Outlaws are in town and it's why I support his decision.
