World of Outlaws and Knoxville Regulars Aiming for Schatz This Weekend!

(Bill W) He's back! Donny Schatz finds himself back on top of the World of Outlaws standings after a clean sweep at Attica Raceway Park and Eldora Speedway in Ohio last weekend. Everyone will be gunning for the two-time and defending WoO and Knoxville Nationals champion, as he tries to duplicate his May win here this Friday and Saturday night!

Resistance to Donny's repeat should be strong, led by Jason Meyers, who is second in the WoO points and has won the most features (five). Former Knoxville regular Craig Dollansky is currently third in the point race, followed by Joey Saldana and Jac Haudenschild. 12-time Knoxville Nationals champion Steve Kinser will also be on hand, as will 2005 track champion Kerry Madsen, multi-time All Star champion Chad Kemenah, six-time track champion Terry McCarl and Shane Stewart.

Other WoO drivers expected include Daryn Pittman, Jason Sides, Sam Hafertepe Jr., 2005 Nationals champion Kraig Kinser, Tim Shaffer, Lucas Wolfe, Tony Bruce Jr. and Chad Hillier.

Local efforts will be led by point leader Justin Henderson, who has two wins to his credit already, six-time track champion and former WoO champion, Danny Lasoski, last week's feature winner and 2006 track champion, Billy Alley, defending track champion, Brian Brown, two-time track champion, Skip Jackson, three-time 360 track champion, Jake Peters, Mark Dobmeier, Dusty Zomer, Calvin Landis and former WoO campaigner Brooke Tatnell.

Others expected to compete over the two nights of action are Ryan Anderson, Brandon Wimmer, Ricky Logan, Travis Cram, Seth Brahmer, Davey Heskin, Dion Hindi, Bronson Maeschen, Kaley Gharst, Jeff Mitrisin and many more!

Friday Dirt Trucks will support the program, and the 360 Knoxville Championship Cup Series will entertain on Saturday. Defending champion, Josh Higday, is rolling after winning last week's feature as he tries to chase down current points leader, Brett Mather!

Will Lasoski be able to beat the Outlaws as a "local" or will the decades long curse continue for the Knoxville faithful? The drama hangs thick in the air...lol.
