Is that $4,000.00 guaranteed, or is that for 20 plus cars?

Sounds like a fair question,Is the purse based on a car count or not.I ,as a car owned/driver,need to know what payout to expect if I spend my time ,money and effort to race anywhere, considering the cost.I'm not a promoter,it's not my job to get 20 cars to a track ,thats the promoters job.Without a guaranteed purse,I'll stay home and do yard work. Can anyone please answer the mans question,we need to know......I wantta go racing!

It's the exact same purse as a regular Victorville sprint car race, $4000.00 , with a 20 cae count. Eaxh car shy is 5% off the payout. Talk to your buddies and get them to show up and have fun. We're just trying to get another affordable place to race and have fun. If thats not for you, then don't come, but don't try to ruin it for those of us that do!
Lets go sling some dirt and have fun doin it at a great littlr track that isn't hard on our equipment.

Thanks for the information, thats all we wanted.I'm not trying to ruin your deal,I just have to decided whether or not I can afford to come .I've raced Barona ,had a great time ,but it's 5 hours each way for me.Gas $4.50,meth.$6.00,so many races so few $.I noticed Faas had no problem posting there purse/rules,Why can't other promoters do the same-eliminate any confusion.....for the record two of my friends [racers] and I were having the very debate as to whether or not Barona when I saw this thread....I hate yard work! thank you Ziggy for calmly explaining .

Hello fans and racers:
I didn't ask the question about the purse money to ruin anybody's fun as some have insinuated. Actually it is quite the opposite, smoke screens and empty lies is what gives people the wrong impression and word of mouth goes out to all on these forums that they feel they have been cheated because they were under the impression they were running for a full pay out. Then come to find out it was pro-rated in the end but it was never disclosed until after the fact. Then we end up with what we have now; nothing! We should all be united in this endeavor and let everyone know up front what is really going on so they can make the right decision for themselves and their race teams. Then when they come and run for a pro rated purse they have no hard feelings because they knew before hand. Some of these people travel long distances and spend a ton of money on the sport they love and all they ask is to be treated fairly and with dignity. I for one am fed up with people coming into my garage and filling me with lies and empty promises. Don't tell me what I want to hear, tell me what I need to hear. At least then I will know the direction I need to tow with no hard feelings. I would love to see Barona grow to be a sprint car hot bed. I've yearned to get that for the past 8 years now. I'm the one that traveled the 14 hr. round trip every other wk-end to Hanford and back pulling my car and trailer since 2000 for not much more purse than what we have here. So no one can ever say it was about the money for me. It's always been for the love of the game and on my own dime. And Shooter I want your financial stability, and please don't tell me you're on the end of someones suger tit.

Hi Shooter:
Glad you didn't take that out of context! I like others on here just want to build this thing so we have a nice place to race in our own back yard. Traveling and money spent on fuel sucks the life out of ya. All we have to do is look past just a few months ago when Tony Jones and the Alexanders were only given half of what they thought they earned for the USAC championship. If the real deal was put out there for all to see in the first place there wouldn't have been any controversey and it would have been accepted by everyone involved. That is all I'm trying to do here, put it out in the open for all to see. Most will understand what we are trying to do. The money doesn't grow on trees. I've known what the pay out is since this deal at Barona first started and could care less what it pays. I just want it to be perfectly clear for all, so that it can be a fun time instead of a bunch of pissed off owners. We all need to understand we are doing this for the future of our sport here in SoCal and support it as best we can. If we build it they will come!!!

Hello Brain,
Very well said, and look forward to Saturday. I noticed the post about the winners purse is no longer on the the board, but just to clear things up Mathew's check for winning was more than $175.00. Todd and Judy where very fair in thier payout even with the small car count. But that being said when did local racers ever expect to break even in this day and age, neverless make money. Do we not all race to race. Maybe I am blinded by the fact that my driver does this for the shear joy of the sport and love of compitition. If we can add a new place to race in this time of track closings, how can anyone find a fault in our efforts. My questions is if the purse is to small for some to come to Barona why not just go run Perris instead? Cost? I am not setting out to piss anyone off its just that in the big picture how can running at a track that all you do is pay for is pit passes and fuel be a bad thing. Hope to see more cars this Saturday!
