What is everybody's opinion of the state of racing in the OKC area( within 100 miles) Right now I think it is kinda sad. Fights- no black flags- favortism- agressive driving- not teching cars-overpriced gasoline. That are some of the things that happened just this weekend. Tracks I see making strides are Meeker and Ardmore. Tracks that are doing OK are Ada and Enid. Tracks that are needing help are Lawton, SFS, and I-44. I am from Ohio and every year I go back to Ohio and Indiana and see some racing and they don't seem to have the problems like we do here. I have really been thinking of getting out of racing altogether. I know this would make my wife very happy. We have been racing 18 years in a row and have very seldom missed racing at a track somewhere. Just my thoughts

True, it is sad! The tracks that you make mention of that are needing help are Lannys tracks and this weekend shows where they need the help. SFS Follies in the infield for the Pro Stocks Fri. Nite is one example, how can this be explained? I wasnt at Lawton Sat but maybe another explaination might be in order here too. People from Lannys tracks do read this board but choose to remain silent cause there probably nothing they can say except "we screwed up". But even that commnent from them might ease the other teams pain from getting screwed.

I went to Lawton last night and I can give you a one word synopsis of the show- "PATHETIC"

1)There were a total of 31 cars for all four racing divisions

2) The officiating was horrible. Some were black flagged wrongly and some that needed DQ'd and were not

3) The show did not start anywhere near the advertised start time (this didn't really matter with so low of a car count)

4) At the "way too long intermission" they tried to give away items donated by a local bank and could not throw them over the fence to the fans

5) And of course the brawl that invloved several of the Edwards family and track employees

I used to hate my work hours. 3-11 P.M. or 4-Midnight Monday-Friday Evenings.

Working these hours /evenings means not too many a Friday nite at SFS.

I miss seein all my friends on Fri nites but not all the B/S I read about on here.

But what do I know,I have only been going to SFS since 1969.

Elk City is a little farther than 100 miles but we had 4 cars black Flaged 2 bombers and 2 Modifieds 2 cars dq for two weeks fuel prices cant be helped unless ur talking about race fuels ours is 6.75 per gal race fuel right now our parts trailer is not trying to retire hes trying to make a living our alcohol is 3.00 a gal if the price of his alcohol our race fuel goes up he has to go up. What is it for fuels at other tracks? And there is no favortism i think behind the clouds somewhere there was a full moon because it was a little crazy here last night to.

This may be a double post, my puter puked. I dont think Lawton can survive many more Saturday nights like last one. After talking to one of Sellers crew, I dont think he will be back. I know we all have said it but Shane has already quit coming and Robert is pretty upset. So thats 2 cars down and if the 54 cars follows suit since his driver is from the city area any way, then thats 3. And what about the ministock driver that was barred for life because he disagreed with Monty Edwards on a call.Well, I guess thats probably ok since they have twice as many as the other classes of course thats only 12 minis though. Not Looking good.

Yes, it was horrible racin on blomquists part and cheap punches by ezel! You can catch up in the blog titled Lawton Tonight. It will be a very sad state of affairs for Lawton Sprint division if neither Sellers returns. Thanks Lanny and Kyle for ruining the best thing you had going!!!
