Yeah, I got the same mailing too. That's kind of a bummer.

The rumor up here in Minnesota is that the WoO was going to race at North Central Speedway in Brainerd on Friday and Princeton on Saturday. NCS doesn't have anything on their website but if they do race at Brainerd it would still be two nights of WoO racing at tracks within an hour and a half of each other. As a matter of fact a lot of the local Mod and Stock Car drivers run Princeton on Friday and North Central on Saturday all season so they can get two nights in every weekend. Princeton is normally the Friday track and NCS is a Saturday track but from what I heard that would be reversed for this deal with NCS Friday and Princeton Saturday.
They were talking about it on one of the local stock car boards and I found this on Craig Dollansky's CDR promotions website:
"Tickets are on sale for the PolyDome Princeton National. This year the Advanced Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Series will visit the 1/4 mile dirt oval for ONE NIGHT ONLY, Saturday October 4th, 2008.
That
does not mean you can only see the Outlaws in Minnesota one time. On
Friday October 3rd they will be at the North Central Speedway in
Brainerd, MN. To purchase tickets for that event call 218-829-2231."
The Brainerd lakes area is a very nice part of Minnesota and it's a neat little track that has hosted both 360 and 410 Sprint shows. To get there from Princeton you just take Highway 97 west towards St. Cloud, Highway 10 north to Highway 371 and the track is just south of town. It's about 75 or 80 miles from the Princeton Speedway.
I wouldn't miss either night of this two-day show. NCS is a semi banked track, about a 3/8 I'd guess and Princeton is a high banked 1/4 mile. I've seen some great racing at NCS over the years. They've got the WoO Late Models coming in there this summer along with the Wissota 100 so NCS has stepped up their program and is offering some big shows.

Stan... a little off the subject, but have you heard any confirmation of the 100 being at BCS this year? thanks...
Fenders are like vacuums... they both suck.
