two questions,

  1. Any results from husets tonight yet?
  2. In todays age of technology, why aren't the races streamed live from Husets?

Husets did have a great internet broadcast for the weekly shows a few years back and for some reason they decided to end it! I guess "they" thought it kepted the fans away.

Laps Led: Jeffrey 1-10, Lasoski 11-25

Mark Dobmeier had blown a tire in his heat race which damaged his rearend. They changed it and he won the B-Main.

410 B-Main:

1. (13) Mark Dobmeier (5) - actually got pole after Bickett elected to stay at the back and then Maeschen caused a false start and was sent to back
2. (23w) Scott Winters (7)
3. (2d) Dusty Ballenger (2)
4. (4) Micah Schliemann (8)
5. (33) Gordy Vogelaar (4)

9. DNS - (40) Clint Garner - blew his engine in the heat race

Laps Led: Dobmeier 1-10

Note:
In one of the heat races, Micah Schliemann got high and squirrelly in turn two and came down the track and hit Brooke Tatnell. Tatnell rode up on top Schliemann with both cars spinning on the back stretch still connected. Meanwhile, DeWall and Winters tried to miss Tatnell/Schliemann, both went high and got into each other and into the wall. DeWall rolled hard. He was okay but the car was not.

14. (76) Dustin Evink (10)
15. DQ - (2 cautions) - (21) Tyler Nelson (15)
16. DNS - (5) Eric Lutz
17. DNS - (81) Jared Jansen - hit wall in heat race
18. DNS - (9k) Cory Krueger - hit wall in heat race

Laps Led: Rosenboom 1-18

Cautions: Lap 5: Nelson spun out in turn 4; Lap 9: Nelson stalled between 3 and 4

In a heat race, (81) Jared Jansen has a commanding lead just starting the third lap and his car shot up the race track and into the wall hard between one and two. He almost rolled but it came back down on all fours. It took awhile to extract him. They had him in the ambulance for observation. I talked to him after that and he is just very sore.

FYI .. they were calling the helicopter but canceled it. There was an older gentleman in the stands below that collapsed. It took a long time to work on him. I don't know his status.

The older guy was sitting about 10 feet from me and just hunched over and passed out and then a bunch of people came and tried doing cpr on him for quite some time and i don't think they had any success. It was very sad to see. He is in a better place now tho as he was called home.

The racing was good when there wasn't any cautions, the heats were tough to get thru! Danny really made the bottom work at the beginning of the feature and shot past a few cars and then set his sights on Jeffrey's. Busy weekend from Charlotte to Knoxville and now Huset's, glad he got a win at Huset's! He had quite a drought goin.

Give a HUGE pat on the back to Scott Winters, he and Dob had problems in their heat and didn't finish and were forced to run the B, Winters was rim riding in the B and nearly got into the wall every corner. But starting at the rear of the A feature he charged up thru the field all the way to 4th, with no cautions to that point!!! However i do believe that is where he finished.

It's always sad to lose a race fan, but at least it was at a race and not in a nursing home. If only I could be so lucky!
