| La Crosse is a big fast track and the Midgets
put on a great show. 35 asphalt Midgets and all the big names were
there. We experienced a brief rain delay and the Midget Feature went
green to Checker with no yellows. Dave Darland was dogged by Kody
Swanson for most of the race but worked lapped traffic and came home
with the win. Great show and a welcome change of pace seeing some
variety. It's obvious why so many drivers have come out of this series
and gone to the next level. |

Sorry we missed you there Stan, we left right before the rains came, that lightning was getting close.
Really enjoyed seeing those Midgets, brought back some memories of when the full size non winged sprint cars ran at the State Fair after it was paved. I know its not dirt track racing, but it was a good Feature.

I got out of there as soon as I could too because of the long drive. I think I probably told you many times that I'm an old Hamline resident/Tilden Elementary alumni so I saw plenty of those Fair races back in the day. That was a darned good Feature and La Crosse is a nice track. If they come back next year I'll do my best to get down there again.
