Knoxville Raceway is the Place to Be This Saturday Night!

(Bill W) Knoxville Raceway is the place to be this Saturday night! Last weekend's rainout was tough on everyone, especially with 48 410 sprint cars in the pits ready to do battle. This weekend's forecast for Slideways Karting Center/Pella Printing Night is much better, and we're looking forward to some great racing action!

Based on his strong performance when the World of Outlaws were in town, seven-time track champion Danny Lasoski leads the current point standings at this early juncture. Several drivers will have a lot to say about what the points will look like next week, including 2007 track champ Brian Brown, 2006 track champ Billy Alley, two-time track champion Skip Jackson and many more. Dusty Zomer, Calvin Landis, Mark Dobmeier, Justin Henderson, Kaley Gharst, Travis Cram, Ricky Logan, Lynton Jeffrey, Jeff Mitrisin and Jake Peters are just a few that will be vying for the $3000 top prize on Saturday night!

Newcomers like Dion Hindi, Brandon Wimmer, Josh Schneiderman and more will also be in the mix. Wayne Johnson will be on hand for the first time in the FattFro #14AJ 410 sprint car this weekend as well. Wayne will be taking advantage of a six week break from the American Sprint Cars on Tour 360 series to spend Saturday's with us! Don't miss all the action our 410 class will be providing each and every race night!

Gregg Bakker will lead the 360 class back to action. Bakker won the season opener for the 360s, his first career win at Knoxville. The two-time 410 track champion at Huset's Speedway in South Dakota will be joined by defending track champ Josh Higday, Joe Beaver, Jesse Giannetto, Frankie Heimbaugh, Brett Mather and many more on Saturday, so be there!

Will be looking forward to your report this week Bill as I won't be able to make it. It's Harley drags & watching nekkid women for me this weekend in Connesville. I usually end up wishin I had went to the races instead by the time it's too late on Saturday afternoon. Looks like a better weekend as far as the forecast goes though..

I'm in the same situation Jim. One of the first weekends where it actually does look good weatherwise, I have a wedding to go to in Cedar Falls. That's just my luck! I'm planning on going somewhere Friday though - either Powr-I midgets at Grain Valley, MO or Sprint Invaders at J'ville. Haven't decided yet on that one.

Other than my kids weddings, I had a NO wedding policy for 40 years.

For as much as we've seen Chilly at the races the last couple years, I figured it was his own? Or did I miss that already?????

PaintBoss if you make it to Conesville on Thursday night, say hello to the band "Rusty Zipper" for me. They are a bunch of former West Liberty racers from Muscatine.

Sheeesh... I went to WoO races at Paducah, Pevely, Osborn (US-36), and Cedar Lake last summer - as well as going to 5 races in 5 days at 5 different tracks in Indiana/Ohio last July.  I missed like four races at K'ville, but obviously made the vast majority.  Not that I had to validate my traveling to anyone, but seriously!!?

ASQ - I'm seriously thinking about heading your way next week if the weather forecast holds up.  Terre Haute Thurs, Bloomington Friday, IRP Saturday, and Kokomo Sunday.  Friday & Saturday are subject to change (maybe Gas City, maybe the Little 500?).
