Of course I'm not trying to create a stir , but what is everyone thinking for the showdown in PA starting Thursday (and don't say r-a-i-n). Obviously, looking for a strong showing from the Posse, but I'm hardly betting against the 2, 15, 9, etc.... No one from PA has dominated the Grove this season, and I know a lot of people here are putting their hopes in the 51, but his time trial performances have not been as strong for quite some time, and these aren't races he's going to win from the back (he has yet to win from 12th in regular PA competition this year, although he's knocked on the door). I break down the competition like this, Outlaws First:
15 - Umm, did anyone see what happened last year?. 2 - Fast all year, dominating win from the front row in local action back in March. 9 - Always strong, finished 2nd to Dollansky earlier this year. 11 - Can't rule out the King. 14 - Strong everywhere, but has yet to show the same speed at the Grove. 21 - Previous winner. 5W - Long shot as an Outlaw rookie, but no rookie to WG and always fast in time trials. 5 - Not sure about the equipment, but he can get around the Grove.
Now for PA:
51 - Still the king in PA and having a 88H type year, if he can time well, watch out. 22 - Always a contender. 1 - The Jet has been fast this year, and is coming off an All-Star win in which he called himself "slow". 89 - Hear about last weekend? He's been even faster at the Grove than Lincoln and he times well. 88 - Watch out for the track champion. 71 - Won the only time trial show this year at the Grove, always times well there, and can set sail from the best in clean air. 25 - Fast and fearless, last years National Open prelim showcased Layton at his best. 21 - Can't forgot The Edge. If the cushion turns out to be the fast way, watch out. If this car wins, the grandstand in 3 may come down. 30C-The All Star points leader's no stranger to an Outlaw win at the Grove.
I won't make my predictions yet, but I wouldn't mind hearing some other thoughts.

i really dont see anyone from pa giving them a run for their money. things aroung here have stalled out , no one really stepping up to the plate except for the 89, and he isn't ready yet imo.hope im wrong but time will tell.

WoO at the Grove....as my good friend Buzzkill once said, you can't see anything else like it in the country. No where else is the "us" vs. "them" more prominent than at the Grove!
It'll be a good show on Thursday!
The 1z, 71 and 89 will give 'em heck in time trials, that's for sure. And depending on the order, you never know who might be atop the scoreboard. Hopefully Rahmer gets a good lap in & can start near the front! One things for sure, not all of the Outlaws will qualify. And the only Weather the Outlaws will have to deal with Thursday will be WHETHER or not to take a provisional!
Don't count out the "future of 410 racing", Pat Cannon either!
Having no single dominate car at the Grove only means 1 thing....they're all tough!
See ya'll Thursday night in the VIP....

The question I have is did any of them figure out how to get there rigs to travel West on the Pa Turnpike to Lernerville tonight???
Looks like it may be the only night without the "R" word in the forecast as from tomorrow afternoon till next Monday that 4 letter word is used quite often.

I agree with you about Cannon, I questioned putting him in my run down. So much will be determined by time trials that it is hard to predict. I think the 89 is running the same engines as the 71, and I know those are stout at the HP tracks. I certainly will be rooting for the Posse, but I don't get bitter about the WoO winning like some do. Their as good as it gets, it's an honor to see our guys run with them. Very few atmospheres will beat the one you experience after a Posse victory. The feeling you get as the cars head into 3 for the green is as good as it gets. You'll know where every hair on your body is because they will all be standing.

BRR, do you know if Darrah has Cappetta power? I think last year he had both Ott and Cappetta engines. Leppo definitely showed Kinser the benefits of those engines last year as he walked away time after time in open track. I got to talk to Rob after last years win, and you'd never meet anyone that takes less credit for building power then him.

I won't speak on behalf of Cappetta, I'm not that close, but I've heard rumors him and a guy named Yates have talks from time to time about getting the most from them. Great to hear Cody's running them!

Meyers is pretty much the man to beat right now, will be interesting to see how he runs at the Grove.

Not sure the definition of dominating but winning half the races run this year works for me, lol. The excuse card is out earlier than usual also, oh my. Have fun, hope you get both in and all the laps! Take It Easy.....

Sorry to say Mr. knowledge, but some of us have a job and a family to tend to. I did find time tonight though to see that the posse got spanked again last night in Lernerville. Yea, a few of the outlaw guys will have to take provisionals or will miss the show at the grove this weekend, but odds are that they will also show your local guys the fast way around the track AGAIN. Im just wondering when/if your gonna grow up. Oh by the way, how about them Lakers?

the stats would suggest that about 1 dozen outlaws will actually make the show, unlike the racing stats in parts unknown.
what are Lakers?
some sort of Court TV show?...or Bad Boys criminal parade?
