Aren't we the English expert? Do you possibly mean "GRAMMAR"??
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

From what I've heard about the old days, something like this-
Shaving in rear view mirrors.
Buying 2 for 1 pizza deals so you can eat for 3 days.
Noticing your competition has 4 rows of tires on his OPEN TRAILER while you still have 2.
Hoping you'll still be driving a good car with a good team by the time the paint on the hood has dried.
Hoping the women are pretty in the town you're going to.
Hoping the women you left behind can't find you.
Being very visible when you need good parts and you can't pay for them.
Being very elusive when said parts have met an untimely demise.
Thankful you have a 1 ton dually truck with a backseat you can sleep in. ......WHEN you have one.
Hoping you don't need a double step diamond Firestone when they get a little scarce.
Glad to know that surface rust is cheaper and lighter than chrome while at a USAC show.
Wondering if you will EVER own a "new" vehicle.
Finding out your race car hating ex wife is now a fan of the races and many of the racers are fans of hers! you know what i mean.
Wondering where the late model guys get all their 'dayum money'!!!!!
It never bothers you that there are no two matching wheels on your race car. Let alone pressure plates.
Though you would never admit it, at night you dream of Indianapolis.

"The Outlaws have people out here that don’t know
anything about racing. I don’t understand how they
come up with some of the calls they do. It makes me
think that they just might be that stupid. It’s
scary." -Steve Kinser

Guys by the name of Bob Hopp, John Stevenson and Jerry Richert Sr. used to run neck and neck with Kinser, Swindell and Wolfgang when the WoO raced in Minnesota. Now we're lucky if our local guys transfer out of the B. Not that there isn't any talent up here but weekend racers can no longer keep up with the cubit dollars. Dollansky is the lone exception but his roots go back to the old days, Travis Whitney is a great racer who doesn't have the funds of an Outlaw team and we're hoping the 11au has a good year.

Running where you wanted and when you wanted to without having a sanctioning body tell you that you can't run a race somewhere just because it conflicts with one of their shows.

They also had 1000 Horsepower engines in the early
eighties
Funny how the price of HP started to rise when they
put limits on the engine..

Wondering why there isn't a "Miss Budwieser" sprint car.
Wondering where all the tractor pullers get their 'dayum money'!
Realizing that every Saturday night track has a local name who is known as a national legend, and he is still in his prime enough to kick your butt!
Upon hearing that you finally made 'OPEN WHEEL MAGAZINE', you hunt and hunt until you find the new issue, only to realize that you were a part of a background, in a shot of the main subject, for a big story.
You get chills when you think about what happened to Danny Smith and the Gambler team in Dallas.
Which brings up an interesting thought-You gave up motel rooms to save money. Then you find that some teams were overinflating their right rear tires and placing them in the motel shower, under the hot water. For some reason, these tires seemed to perform longer and more consistently in an A feature. So to be competitive, you start using the motel rooms again for this reason when you need to.
Then the Gambler team rig gets stolen. And if you are by yourself, you will be tempted to get a motel room for the right rear tire, while you might have to sleep in the rig!
