We will miss you, it just won't be the same without you ! No one to sit next to during qualifying and who will help knock off the mud?

We will be at Watsonville Friday night in the 360 for the Wright One Series and then make the trek to Tulare. You'd think we wouldn't go but I am staying possitive and figure we have to have a change in our luck at one of these races at Tulare! Holding possitive thoughts....Turn one huh? Well let me know as it gets closer and I will look for you for sure during qualifying if not before.

I'm sure the 4th's are getting old for Evan, however I'm sure a 4th at Tulare would be like a win. lol

Thanks Amanda for feeling we'll keep up the 4th. place finishes. I will pass your message on to Evan. Gary you are 100% right on........about getting a 4th at Tulare would feel like a win!! Ha Ha and Chuck thanks for not mentioning "the rut". You guys are to much. We'll take anything we can get there so long as we roll in the trailer at the end of the night in ONE PIECE, both Evan and the car.
See you there.

There is no excuse for "the rut". That washboard on steriods needs to be addressed once and for all. If it were Hanford or Ocean everyone would would be screeming about the lack of track prep but Faria gets a pass. These cars cost too much $ to get screwed-up because someone can't figure out how to fill a hole

You have to love the ruts! That is what seperates the men from the boys! I would much rather see a race on a heavy tacky rutted track, then a slick smooth track.

Go watch motocross or monster trucks then. Obviously you neither drive or own a car

It's actually funny we mention the turn one bump because before the last race Steve Faria and the crew worked all week trying to fix the problem spot. I know that Steve really does take it personally when the bump appears because he obviously doesn't like to see cars get torn up either. But with that said the racing has been great in Tulare so far, which has made it fun. The Hammerdown drivers will put it above the bump and that's made it pretty cool to watch.

Obviously you dont know me! I have been around this sport my whole life. My cousins owned race cars and had some pretty great drivers drive their cars. The names that drove their cars are, Mitch Sue, Rendy Baldreni, Ron and Rick Horton and my all time favorite Dave Bradway Jr, among others. I actually had the privalge of knowing Dave. He loved the ruts. Heck the one at Baylands he was famous for driving right thru that turn one rut.
You want to come at me from a car owners stand point. Show me where racing a sprint car is good business sence? You cant! This sport is a passion!

The rut seems to be worse at some times and not to bad others. I really don't know what they could do to fix it. That being said; Only a half dozen seem to have a problem on any given night, with the exception of the Trophy Cup a couple years back.
And I don't think anyone would be complaining about a rut at Hanford or Ocean any more or less. In fact with the exception of the dust bowl one race and lack of push trucks another race I think Ocean has received rave reviews. Since reporting from Hanford is not allowed, hard to say what happens there.
I don't like a perfectly smooth track either when it is not asphalt. The ever changing surface of dirt and a driver's ability to adjust for those changes is what I like about watching dirt track racing in general. I don't care if its a rut, groove or big ole ditch.

There is a direct correlation between ruts and water.

Here is a cold hard fact...........these cars cost alot of money to build, maintain, race AND repair. And of course "it is a passion", why else would you piss-away your 401K? So tell me why a track with a longstanding problem that contributes to wrecks be a good thing? When you are sitting around wondering where all of the cars have gone you might add the cost of wecking to you list.
