Sacramento, Ca – May 2nd & 3rd…A busy weekend was on tap for the SC Motorsports team and Los Angeles driver Tyler Walker.

The weekend's racing festivities kicked off Friday at Silver Dollar Speedway for point's race #6 for the winged 410 Sprint cars in Chico. Tyler put the Scott Chastain owned #24 through its paces in qualifying with an 11.706, and recorded 6th quick, out of the 31 cars in attendance.

In heat #2, Tyler started in the 5th spot, and 10-laps later transferred into the main event via his 2nd place finish.

Main event action would have the Don Ott powered machine start in the 5th spot once again. Tyler methodically moved his way through the pack and chased Kyle Hirst to the checkered flag, eventually finishing 2nd.

The next day, the SC Motorsports hauler made the tow to American Valley Speedway in Quincy to race in round #10 with the Golden State Challenge 410 powered Sprint cars.

Tyler started the evening by blistering the old track record and setting a new mark of 14.537.

In heat #1, Tyler was riding the rim, and was carrying a full head of steam going into turns 3-4; unfortunately he jumped the "cush" and flipped the car off of the turns.

The SC Motorsports crew lead by veteran crew-chief Lee Lindgren made repairs and were able to get the NMI Industrial #24 back out for main event action. Tyler eventually salvaged a 7th place finish.

-Next Up For the SC Motorsports Team!

May 9th we will again be in Chico for point's race #7 looking to move up one position. We will then tow south to race at Tulare's Thunderbowl Raceway for Golden State Challenge Series Sprint car action. The last visit to Tulare brought Tyler an exciting 2nd place finish there as well.

Race fans, please stop by the hauler after the races!

Tyler Walker, Scott and Kathy Chastain, Jason Chastain, Lee Lindgren, Erik Eklund, Tommy Martin, Ryan Martin, Chelsa Molina, and Steve Rhodes would like to thank all of our loyal fans and sponsors: NMI Industrial, Snap on Tools, TP Wings, Don Ott Racing Engines, Weld Wheels, Racing Optics, Stainless Distributors, TriCo Welding Supplies, Inc., Fast Wings, JEI Performance, ButlerBuilt, Impact Racing Products, Izzie's Body Shop, BR Motorsports, and A Better Valley Crane.
