the first start produced plenty of chaos as polesitter Jones popped some wheelies down the fron chute taking the green holding up the inside line, McCarl ended up spinning in turn 2 unassisted and restarted in the back. Shortly after the restart Mccarl hit the huge rut on the inside of 4 and barrell rolled and his night was ended. During the restart Alley's crew and others worked to replace the front wing, they didn't get done in time and he had to go to the back on the ensuing restart. The car never felt right and ultimately Billy pulled in. Garner and Nygaard swapped the lead a few times with sliders in traffic, coming down for the checkers Nygaard hit the turn 4 rut and barrell rolled- the race was called complete. Bakker was wicked fast in coming from 14th and was gaining on Garner & Nygaard ultimately awarded 2nd after Nygaard's late crash. Hafertepe damaged the engine in his heat and didn't start the feature after etting fast time

Sides, Brown, and Lasoski probably went to the Winged Outlaw Warriors show in Missouri - in fact, several may have. I think everyone - myself included - kind of forgot about that factor.

I thought Hillier or Bruce Jr. might have come to Husets as well. I was there.. Nygaard woulda got him if he wouldn't have hit the rut.. that flip was wicked!
