will try to recap this weeks Fantasy action very soon. And also something that may be of interest to everyone - Week 8 (5-9) - will mark the beginning of Interleague Play. Interleague play will span 8 weeks - from Week 8 (5-9) to Week 15 (6-27). This gives the opportunity for everyone to play the 8 teams in the opposite division - if mother nature allows of course. The way the SET schedule is - every team plays their own division teams twice - and the opposite division once. of course - thats if weather is kind - which so far she has been very generous. especially compared to last year............

But for now - Please put your Week 7 Official Fantasy League Picks - - - - - - - - HERE IN THIS THREAD.

.500 BABY! What a wild night, Reed exiting early as did Brill, Owens last lap heroics....wow. And Frank didn't dump it in the heat, so I'm not a jinx.

Three DNFs in one night will kill ya! Since when do Brill, Reed, & Burns all get DNFs in the same night? Ha ha. I was doing fine until until the Champ Sprint A as my opponent picked Brill and Reed too... but when Burns didn't even start the A main there went my night. Oh well. What a freak night. I guess thats the way the cookie crumbles. Ha ha.

Tell Frank I was just using him as a scenario, he should be humbled that he is picked and liked so often. I sit at the top row a couple sections south of the idiots in the scoring booth. Tell him not to come kill me. lol!

Nah frank was just kidding. He told me the same thing the week before when I told him if he had problems it was my fault for picking him. Frank and Robert have got their deal going real good and I am sure he likes any support he gets.

I feel ya man. I was 7 up goin into the champ sprint A Main. and like others who had picked Burns - sat in total disbelief when the car would not fire - and then sat anxiously for the next 6 minutes before they got a lap down - just hopin he would come out of the pits. same with Autry after Buntin spun Bobby Smith and he had nowhere to go. Hell I was 17 up after the first 2 races. and then with Autry and Burns - saw it widdle away into an 8 pt. defeat.

But to me it's stuff like this that makes it fun. This week was disbelief. but just the week before I won - literally - off of Gary Owens last lap pass into 4th. And I mean literally. It just shows how quick the tables can turn - and it's yet another piece to the fantasy puzzle that makes it a blast. And congratulations Carr Racing for his victory in our back and forth bad luck battle. lol. weather permitting - we will rematch in week 21 - (August 8th).

So in a recap of mundane sorts...........................

Division 1 - Bobcat most definitely isn't shooting blanks. off to the best record in the league. everyone will be gunning for Founder of the Fantasy League. As there were pleanty of upsets in week 6 - not much change in standings - instead it evened things up a bit.

Week 6 was Dogwater's Animal Control. the bad luck he skillfully avoided to date finally found him - as he almost doubled his point total in just 1 week. but never to be outdone - surely Dogwater will be nipping at the heels of the bullet blasting BobcatJD. BEWARE OF DOG

Cushion Pushers got to join my vicinity of bad luck this past week. as my fellow semi-seating compatriot saw a lead after the first feature - get belittiled away into defeat. This put him in a mutiple way tie - but with the low point toal - Wescoe remains Cushioned in 3rd.

Hard luck Unc. To put up a 14 spot and still loose..........damn. That 1-5 record will serve to be awfully deceptive though - as riding a streak of Week 6 Open League Glory and being competitive int he majority of his early season matchups - a winninh streak could very well be on horizon.

Polish Posse SHOULD indeed have picked himself. He would have won. that has to be really frusterating - but sitting with a .500 record the Polish Invasion is ready for an Occupation - of first that is.

Bull Slingers - the much famed and acclaimed Skeesiks has quietly slipped under the radar to obtain a 3-3 record. And also served to break the Circle Jerkin' heart by beating his 14 spot - with a stunning 9. geez. And same with Dirt Bandits - who sits just 1 game out of the traffic jam in the middle of the division 1 standings after defending his turf proper against the Polish Invasion.

And saving the best for last. how does one put up a 37 and win? just ask the forgetful SFSfan. I say forgetful - - how bout relieved. as the likelihood of Frank Dittman putting a contract out for him diminished rapidly after the opening lap excursion in the champ sprint A Main. Although I bet he was sweating Bobcat Bullets when Dittman had 4 spinning cars directly in his eyesights. The well being of Slide Jobbers truly lied in the brake foot of Dittman. much to all parties relief - a hex was not born that night. and who'd a thunk it? - with a shockingly high # that I am well on my way to matching - Slide Jobbers has slid himself into a 4 way tie for 3rd. albeit on the low end. but Mr. SFSfan is providing us all direct proof of how a disheartning point total can be overcome by a small winning streak. good for the always colorful and amusing - Slide Jobbers.

standing on the brink of interleague play with only 1 early season divisional matchup left - I am wandering - which LEAGUE will win the 8 week long interleague matchups? and yes I will be keeping track of that as well - so we can see which league has bragging rights before the playoffs.

Division 2

Carr Racing - more commonly known to tidbitters as "Track Announcer" has raced his Carr right into first place. I take personal exception to this - as it was my bad luck beatdown that gave him that honor. lol. I kid ya TA. I do believe as I was watching in disgust - he must have been watching with great satisfaction. I hope to turn those tables when I match up again with him in Week 21 - during the 2nd round of Divisional Play. But for now Hitman David Jones ahs the next shot to "dethrone" the current division 2 point leader.

Dirt Track Cowboys has been more like an Outlaw. improving to 4-2 and netting down 2nd place in the league with 138 point total. More commonly known as mIn Motorsports - he has his week 7 sights set on another fellow 4-2 record holder - Cheese Heads.

And Cheese Heads - or Cheese21 - or - "the guy running down the front stretch with a hot dog in front of Airflow Assassins" - is smothered into a 2nd place tie with his week 7 opponent - DTC. my pop is still hurting from the grinding Cheese delivered last week.

Airflow Assassins - or David Jones - or "the guy running down the front stretch chasing a hot dog held by Brandon Jennings" - avenged his week 5 loss to OKCchump by putting up the lowest week 6 score for Division 2. holding down a 4th place tiebreak by virtue of the best point total in Div. 2 - has his eyes set on current division 2 leader Carr Racing. Don't show him a hot dog Carr Racing - if you do it is OVER. just noticing the the top 4 in the division play each other in Week 7.

Just BS - from the top to the middle in short time - currently sits 5th in the Div. 2 traffic jam. awaiting a week 7 taste of the Nut Sacks after getting assassinated in week 6. sorry BS - I just couldn;t help it lol.

I - Nut Sacks - sit frowning in 6th. what a difference bad luck and a loss makes. Bad luck is already my excuse of choice if I get BS'd by Springer. again I;m messing around - but my personal consolation is that I am still ahead of my father - Roundy Rounders - who's dismal performance merited massive criticism - I told him maybe if he was in attendance and paying attention - that drubbing he took might not have happened. instead he felt it necessary to Fear and Loathe in Nashville, Tennessee.

Speed Racer. did you have the soon coming out movie in mind when you chose that name? With that predicted box office hit coming out - could there be Speed Racer success on multiple fronts?

these fantasy facts may be retarded and somewhat pointless - but most things I type in the puter usually fall under that category - every now again there is a stroke of brilliance - is this of the former or the latter? if it is retarded it should come as no suprise - if it is somewhat amusing - I'm sure it will NOT be maintained. peace out.

Actually I'm Larry Carr (The_Announcer). Track Announcer is that other guy. I'm not doing too bad for a guy who hasn't been to SFS for a race in at least 2 years. Mods and pros were definately my down fall this week, but I had enough to kick the Nut Sacks where it hurts!!

Maybe I can get David Jones' attention focused on hot dogs next week, long enough for me to get by him.

No excuse, really. I haven't blacklisted the fairgrounds or anything, seems like we're always busy with other things on Friday night. I'm going to try to get up there sometime this season. I think last Friday was my towns "free night", so i missed a freebie.
