I can't say that I'm crazy about having a camera strap hanging on my neck hardware for six hours when they're predicting north wind and a high of 43. What the heck, it's Sprint Cars and I've got all day Sunday to load up on Advil and lay on the heating pad. wink

Clear up tomorrow night according to the weather channel......but rain and snow mix in the afternoon with 25-35 mph winds and a high of about 40 and 29 at night. Not a damn thing is gonna dry up with conditions like that. Everything else north of Missouri is called for the weekend.....what the hell is the holdup on making a call here? Don't get me wrong, I wanna race as bad as anyone, but it sure isn't much fun in conditions like that. I wish it would've just been nice these few days so we could have a better shot at getting this in tomorrow. Anyone have an idea as to when they'll make this race up?

They're supposed to make an announcement by 11am and I'm not sure if there's going to be a rain date. Next Saturday is the last open Saturday night before Jackson opens so I would consider that the best window of opportunity. I'm not sure how they would handle that with their weekly classes or what kind of a solution they can work out. I guess all we can do is stay tuned and see what happens.

As of right now, there is no rain date for this race, unless they could do it on an off weekend in Sept. Otherwise, all their weekends are book now.

Let's be realistic only 1 city in the US named New Richmond looks good enough to race in.

New Richmond, IN 63/43 Partly Cloudy 20%
New Richmond, OH 68/44 AM T-Storms 60%
New Richmond, WI 39/29 Rain/Snow/Wind 60%
New Richmond, WV 74/46 Scattered T-Storms 60%

Even if it did clear up by Noon with the windchill in the 20's who would want to race in that weather and I do not think the grounds at the track with dry up by 4pm. Let's faced it this race can't happened this weekend.

Hell they should cancel the IRA & Jackpot races also.
Beaver Dam, 53/36 Party Cloudy/Windy 10% (windchill in the 40's)
Kasson for Sunday, 47/30 PM Showers 40%

There is the All Star race @ Eldora we can listen to on DirtVision tonight. Rumored that some WoO teams were headed that way after Husets and Knoxville were canceled.

Sounds like a good plan for tonight, listen to Dirtvision. Or go to Roddy's in N St Paul and we can talk smart all night. I'll be there.

Does anyone live near the track? What is the weather like right now? We have like 1-2 inch. of snow on the ground and the wind is blowing in Glencoe, MN. Roads are shitty to.

It is official, NO races at Cedar Lake Speedway tonight. I got the official word this morning at 8 AM.

Cedar Lake officials are going to try and reschedule this race at a later date, probably late in the season.

I will notify all you racers of a date when I find out more information on this.
