I was told that the make up date was suppose to be Sunday the 27th if they don't race Friday.
|
With temps in the 40's and rain in the forecast for most of the weekend, it's not going to be happening this Sunday the 27th.

it has been raining all day here. i HIGHLY doubt they will have them. if they do. i belive about 5 maybe 7 people will show up... if they want to make any money off it. they will reschedule until a weekend the weather will be more enjoyable for everyone.

Sunday May 4th would be nice for a make-up if it keeps raining. That was a good three-day weekend in May of 2006 for racefans - not for McCarl and track records though! He held the track record at all three tracks (Cameron, Knoxville, Husets) coming in, but left with only Husets.

As of 4pm Central time, the race at Husets is still on. A final decision won't be made until Friday morning.

I hope they can get through the snow to change their answering machine. Talking 3-5 inches of snow.

2 to 4 inches of snow expected tomorrow night in Grand Forks,ND. Their season opener was cancelled yesterday. Wet, cold, and SNOW. Hoping Sunday in Brandon might be snowdate for WoO.
Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

Thanks Johnny, you beat me to it.
Huset's Speedway will now open the season on Sunday May 4 with the USRA Casey's General Store Premier Racing Series featuring Outlaw Sprint Cars and Championship Sprint Cars. The hobby stocks and b-modifieds will also be in competition.
As for the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws, the "greatest show on dirt" is set to invade Huset's Speedway on Friday night, June 13. They'll return to the high-banked 3/8 mile track again on July 3.

Wow, this must be a record for rainouts for a season! Lets see so far the races that were rained out were Pike County, Tulare both nights, I-55, second night of Eldora, Husets, and the weather looks crappy for Knoxville on Saturday night. I feel bad for all the drivers, fans and eveyone else looking forward to going to races in the Midwest. BTW: There is a great weather and racing out here in CA if anyone wants to make the drive West I also heard the Northwest is also getting lots of rain this year and having rainouts. Two seasons ago we had tons of rain and many of our races got rained out. It rained a record 20 days in March- which is crazy for CA! I just hope they end up rescheduling most of the races and the weather improves soon!!
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Event At Huset's Speedway Canceled By Severe Weather
BRANDON, S.D. — April 24, 2008 — Severe weather conditions including rain, snow, plunging temperatures and high winds forced Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series officials to cancel the series event scheduled for Friday, April 25, at Huset's Speedway near Sioux Falls, S.D.
The high-speed winged warriors will remain in the Midwest and take on Iowa's best drivers on Saturday, April 26, at Knoxville Raceway. It will mark the season's opening night of racing at the historic half-mile speedplant near Des Moines.
The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will return to Huset's Speedway on Friday, June 13, and again on Thursday, July 3.
Headquartered in Roanoke, Va., Advance Auto Parts is the second-largest retailer of automotive aftermarket parts, accessories, batteries, and maintenance items in the United States, based on store count and sales. The company operates 3,228 stores in 40 states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands and serves both the do-it-yourself and professional installer markets.

Sounds like Rubins could have made a fortune this weekend from scuba rentals alone!
