Just heard that the WoO show at Husets is cancelled. Is that true? It seems awful early to make that call, but thats why I'm asking.

Husets cancelling a show this early, would never happen.

the website says its still on but its gonna rain like hell thursday and friday. it would really suck to be one of those tracks around here that races on friday nights.

Wouldn't doubt it because its gonna be about 48 for a high with rain/snow off and on all day for Friday. I haven't officially heard it being cancelled but if I was from a long distance from Sioux Falls I wouldn't plan on racing/spectating here Friday night.

Which really blows because it was 80 here today and is 70 now at 10:30.

As of late Wednesday, according to both the promoter at Huset's and World of Outlaws officials, the Huset's WoO race for Friday is STILL ON. No decisions have been made. You all are looking at the same forecasts they are so stay tuned.

That is a rumor! I talked with both the promoter at Huset's and with
the World of Outlaws today and was told so far everything is still on
for Friday. No decisions have been made as of last Wednesday.

I know, the weather channel is never right... but on their website the forecast high for Friday is 39 with a low of 31 with rain /snow /wind... just in case they are correct, has anybody heard of a tentative "snowout" date?

Just to show you how much of a fan I am, I will be in Brandon of Friday one way or the other if I can tow in, and if it snows out, I am sure I will still have a good weekend.

Hey, I'm not going to disagree with you, Duane... it's well worth the drive to just hang out with the people from Brandon and Sioux Falls for a weekend, I met a lot of awesome people when I lived there for six years; the race would just be an added bonus!

As of 5AM Thursday, the races are still on.

And if that happens to change, I guess we'll all have to get together at Sneakers in Brandon... which might be the best racing bar outside of the Dingus.

Being the devout person I am, I would never let the proudct of the Corn and barley drip from my lips!

(I would always try hard not to spill lol)

The shows still on, and we're still planning on coming.

You pessimistic,doomsday weather forecasters and rumor mongers need to let the weather play out, and let any announcements come from those who make the final decisions.

i hope to god that the weather channel stands up to there rep of always being wrong. but if by some chance they are right.. that forcast dont look to friendly

Not trying to be a rumor monger- trying to keep those that may have been contemplating leaving a day early from making a wasted trip. It just sprinkled here a little bit but seems to be done for now.

The tracks need a few more people in the stands to pay the bills than the 100 die hards who will be there regardless. I don't see how they're going to get the families and casual fans to come out in 39 degree weather. We've got a couple of 360 shows scheduled nearby but with two days and nights of rain, a high of 45 with low of 31 rain/snow mix Saturday night it's not looking good.

True, the weather forecasters have a hard time nailing the exact timing and amounts of precip but it don't take a rocket scientist to know when the cold front express is going to arrive from the north. With all that rain and no sufficient drying time I'm not very optimistic about our situation. As far as driving long distances just to hang around when there's this great of a chance of a cancellation I'll save my money for more favorable weather. I think the majority would agree.

They might as well cancel it, they haven't even advertised it yet. Its going to snow Im telling you.

Just had a truck deliver freight form Sioux Falls. He said they received an inch of rain this morning.

Have had over 1 1/2 inches of rain here in Brandon & still raining.

With more rain tonight & rain/snow coming tomorrow and temps only in the 40's the rest of this weekend. I don't think there will be any racing at Huset's this weekend.

Since there is only 1 Outlaws show next weekend (Friday @ US 36 Raceway), hopefully it can be rescheduled next Sunday, May 4.

I was told that the make up date was suppose to be Sunday the 27th if they don't race Friday.
