SPENCER RESUMES CHASE OF KRUSEMAN WHEN CRA SPRINTS RETURN TO THE PAS SATURDAY

APRIL 21, 2008 --- Mike Spencer of Temecula, Calif. continues his pursuit of his initial USAC championship Saturday when the USAC/CRA Sprint cars return to Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway. He trails former series champion and 2008 point leader Cory Kruseman by 42 points.

It’s “Power of Purple Night” at the 1/2-mile dirt track, saluting the American Cancer Society and a 30-lap feature is on tap.

Spencer is one of five drives who have already posted feature wins at the PAS this year. The others are Kruseman (twice), Danny Sheridan and Johnny Rodriguez, who piloted a new car to victory in his first outing two weeks ago.

Blake Miller, who has a 2008 win but not at Perris, ranks third in the standings, 82 behind Kruseman.

USAC/CRA SPRINT CAR SERIES POINT STANDINGS
1 Cory Kruseman 492
2 Mike Spencer 450
3 Blake Miller 410
4 Garrett Hansen 381
5 Danny Sheridan 367
6 Tyler Brown 354
7 Levi Jones 350
8 Jesse Hockett 292
9 Nic Faas 284
10 Josh Ford 259

just a little south of Victoville where:

1.you can see good racin just like Victorville

2.you will have to pay $5.00 to park (this is the fairgrounds deal the PAS gets$0)

3.you won't get to hear open headers (again a fairboard deal)don't know how they got away with it in V-ville but I'm glad they did

4.you can chow down on over priced consession food just like V-ville

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm just thankful we can have places to see great sprint car racing ,and if there is A race I'll be there and I really don't give a sh!t who puts the show on
