Seeing as all the Saturday racing ended up getting canceled I spent the afternoon practicing graphics design. I came up with this non-racing piece that incorporates 3d images, you can find a larger version in the gotomn blog which is accessible from the main page. Just having fun and looking to get a little feedback. This type of design would probably appeal more to the biker or street rod crowd than the racers.

I think you need to be on left over acid from the 70's to enjoy that? Maybe another forum? Not going to do much for sprintcar racer's in the upper midwest . Stan you need to get out more. lol

Maybe if a car of some sort was incorporated in the design you may have something? Otherwise it looks like something one might see if one was on some good STUFF! LOL

It was billed as non-racing and I was just looking for comments from an artwork standpoint. This style is common on Street Rods, motorcycle tanks, promoting music groups and that sort of thing. I've seen some of these designs on a few race cars, more like the monster trucks and funny cars and not so much the oval track cars. It got favorable reviews from the non-race-fans I showed it to but I guess the racing crowd isn't ready for this style.

Thanks for your input even though it leaves me hanging.

Stan the 3d part of your art work is kinda cool, and yes you did state that this was a non racing topic. So what would a image of a white (ghost like) sprint car or any car for that matter sliding sideways look like in the center of your graphics, maybe neat I bet. Just a thought. Smile

Thanks for the feedback. I've got some ideas that can be incorporated into racing graphics that will look nice. You'll be seeing some as soon as I get time to put something together. I've got to get out to some races so I have something to work with.
