I may have a job opportunity in the Fayettville, AR area. How is the sprint car racing down there? I currently live in NorCal where its pretty damn good. I see it's close to the Chili Bowl in Tulsa!

Hey Oakland Sprint Fan! I agree that we have great sprint car racing here! My aunt and uncle live in Benton, AR outside of Little Rock and they have a good track there called I 30 speedway and they have the Short Track Nationals. Fayettville is a huge college town, but I heard it is a really pretty area. They do have tornados also. Don't move out of California! I think Oakland would be a lot different than Fayettville, lol!

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

off the top of my head. yeah I-30 is awesome. the STN I attended for the first time last year was among the 5 best races I've seen in my life.

Out in that area - there is West Siloam Springs Speedway. just right over into Oklahoma. also there is Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Oklahoma - the track is actually on the southwest side of Fort Smith, Arkansas. There is another track I've heard of that I think is out there - called Crawford County or something. I may be wrong though. There might also be some stuff in southern Missouri. I'd say just take a look at the race track locator - and then search for websites of the corresponding tracks.

Fayetteville is about 200 miles from I-30 just SW of Little Rock, but it does have a weekly show of 360 winged sprints on Sat. nights. The Short Track Nationals the end of October is a great 3 day weekend of races. I'm guessing about 120 miles to Tulsa that has some good special shows from time to time, and of course the Chili Bowl... get your tickets now. I don't know of any nearby tracks with sprints.

You definitely will miss the Northern California sprints.

I went to the West Siloam Track a few weeks ago ( I am from AZ) and that track was fast and tight, The USMTS was there and for modifieds put on one hell of a good show. The food, people and track prep were GREAT. I would love to see sprint cars there. Good Luck.

I saw ASCS Sooner Region there (West Siloam) once about 10 years ago and it was great racing. There was another track in the general area - I can't remember now - but it was good except the nearby trees scared me. I've heard that Pocola just put dirt over the paved track and that it sometimes is not the best dirt track around. Monet, Mo. is another neat little track - but seldom has sprints. As far as I can tell, you have to go to Creek County (West of Tulsa/West of Sapulpa) or South Colleyville now to see sprints or midgets. I'm not familiar with Mo. racing, but I don't think Joplin has sprints much anymore at all. At least you're an easy days drive to Knoxville. I'm in Mesquite, Tx., and the Devil's Bowl has pretty well ruined weekly sprints (maybe 10 -12 sprints). However the Spring and Winter Nationals are great. You will also be in the middle of ASCoT Speedweek. Another track you really need to go to - when they have a special (if you still move out here in the sprint car boonies) is West Memphis, Ark. - Riverside. Wait for a special and you won't believe it. Home of Sammy Swindell, Bobby Davis, Jr., Hooker Hood and Rickey Hood and many more stars have toured the Mississippi bottom land dirt of Riverside.

Tell you one thing, it is good to know people keep their favorite sport in mind when moving. As much as I love my home town of Knoxville....I sadly have to go else where.

Though I don't answer your question. I find troubles in hoping I move semi close to a track with some good sprints.
