Lap Leaders: Phillips 1-40

Phillips started on the inside front row for the forty lap feature and quickly built a ten car length lead by lap three over teammate Payne and by lap seven it was up to a half straightaway.....The first of three caution flags flew on lap fourteen, closing the gap for Payne.....Payne tried sneaking underneath Phillips several times in turns one and two but could not make a clean pass.....The final caution flag flew with two laps to go but Payne had nothing for Phillips on the restart and Phillips went on to a three car length victory at the end.

I personally want to thank Jeff for his help this weekend and especially Pam for getting me lineups and results all weekend so that I was allowed to be able to post results to all of you as I got home.....Fun weekend, just a tad long but sometimes it happens.....Hope they host another one later this year.

thank you David posting results all 3 nights of the races out there. event looks like it was a good success. thats cool they did it kinda like the Short Track Nationals were done - where they don't split the field the first 2 nights. probably rough on the cars and their pocketbooks runnin that much - but it's great for the fans. so how bout it? what were track conditions each night - racy?

In spite of everything they could do the track locked down for the feature.One pass in the top ten in the last 10 laps,Timms slid up and Hughes got under him for the spot.Would have loved to seen the feature on a racey track but still not sure if it would have been worth the 7 hours,at the track on a "cool" day, marathon for us.Back to the late model only for this bunch.Appreciate the effort the track workers put forth though.
