The ASCS race results are already posted on their website. Nick Smith won. Rilat 2nd. Maier 3rd. McClelland 4th. There were 35 ascs sprinters on hand. notable absences were Jason Johnson, Kevin Ramey, Jamie Passmore, Danny Smith, Skip Wilson, Foster Landon and Cody Branchcomb. that's just ones I thought would be there. Noticeable in attendance were Lorne Wofford from southern New Mexico as well as Natalie Sather down from North Dakot and Jack Dover down from Lincoln, Nebraska. ASCS Racing was good. I was suprised that it was as good as it was. when the track is that heavy the heats usually suck. the racing was quite competitive in the heats.
Tony Anderson held off Stanley Reed Jr. to win the Mods. 22 cars
Steve Clemmons won the factory stock feature - feature was run in less than 5 minutes - I think. 15 factory stocks on hand.
My question is - why not another class tonight? either the pro stocks or the champs? any particular reason?
Yeah the racing turned out good. track was really really heavy. racing in all 4 heats, 2 b's, and the a main were lightning fast. I think usually when the track is that heavy the heats turn out no good - but tonight the racing was good throughout the night - for the most part.................

Yeah, good racing tonight. Track was FAST! Air was COLD! Nick Smith had it going on, but Zach Chappell and Travis Rilat were flying all the way up from the back. Fun to watch. Jack Dover was flying around the high side, too, until he pushed the cushion right over Turn 4. Then he and Natalie got together. ( Hey, that kinda sounds like fun, actually.)
Met Tony Anderson for the first time. It's good to finally put a face with a car and number. Nice guy, and a heckuva driver.
And good ole' Clemmons proved worthy as the ever popular fantasy pick. Kudos to the 55, 05, and 15s.
Let's Go Racin'!!
