There is a post on Stlracing that they will have the track ready on Saturday in time for the 4 pm modified hot laps.
We are about an hour south of the track. It's been cloudy all day but no rain.

This is what was posted on STLRacing.com by the I-55 track announcer:
"Just talked to Ray. The track will be ready for racing tomorrow. He sealed it over so most the rain ran off into the infield last night. Because the infield took a lot of rain and run-off form the track, that's Ray's main concern right now. He said the track/infield pit area will be race ready for mod hot laps tomorrow at 4:00 PM. TTG/MM" It cannot get much more official than that. I plan to be at the track by around 10:30 am or so. I will try to call Petey to give him the conditions of the grounds so he can update all of you early.

Looking really good for tonight...
For anyone who has never been to Pevely, you can expect a high banked 3/8 mile...qual times in the 10's and 11's - my guess around 40-45 cars

I see they have modifed hot laps starting at 4:00pm. Will this make the try wicked ass dry? Or do they do a good job with track prep as needed? Looking forward for tonight.

They are reworking the track after mod hot laps...etc. and picking back up with heats and racing at 7:30p
It would be VERY rare for the Pevely track to not be in great shape

It's gonna be like that whenever they're outside of PA, Ohio, California, Knoxville or Huset's I think.

Last place in the A-main paid $800, non transfers from the B-main got between $150 and $200, and yet they only got 29 cars.

Racecar spelled backwards is racecar. Racecar upside
down is expensive.

It was one of the better I55 shows I've been to, car count was irrelevant. They only start 24 in the main, therefore 29 cars was okay with me. Everyone has to remember this whole year has been a little odd with all the rain. 3 heats, a dash, a b-main, and a good feature all done by 10:30, that's better than 40+ cars, another hour or more with the end results being the same. Nice show I55, see you in July!
