OVAL TRACK DIRECT out of AZ, they sold me a bill of goods.we bought a roller form DAN that was to be with all good parts.the rearend was bent ,the tank had 4 holes in it and leak all over the shop,the adj schooks did not work ,the wheels were the wrong off set,AND then comes the kicker the streeing gear was new he said in the box(i told him we run at the P.A.S.)it came with a sliver crown steering gear .the differance is the amount of turns it takes to turn your car,sprint cars gears turn about 1 3/4 turns this gear turns 2 3/4 unuseable at P.A.S. ,NO PUMPS no lines no high speed no pill holder no steering wheel , i could go on and on. DO NOT buy any sprint car parts from this no good low down lieing cheating back stabing sorry excuse .RACING is a family sport close nit clan,and i feel you my family members should know thir is a no good person among us.

PS . the man will not take my call , or return my call , so now he will get a registerd letter from my att.

did you get the car off e-bay?

dont feel isolated. my dad and i bought a midget sight unseen from a guy who told us it was race ready with a fresh rebuilt engine. when it was delivered it took an hours or so to get ready to race. long story short, bad water pump, bad fuel pump, rebuilt motor was actually a really bad patch job (REALLY BAD!!!) bent shocks, worn out torsion bars, stripped out bar arms. this was not from the same guy as above, but just to let people know, there are shady people out there that will rip you off and not think twice about it. NEVER pay for the car and have it delivered. look it over good first. racing is a family deal but like all families there are some bad apples out there.

Well, the old story of "let the buyer beware" still rings true.....While it doesn't excuse dirty dealings and dishonest business practices by some, as a buyer, you MUST exercise your rights fully. That means that you must fully inspect your purchase before $ changes hands. And I'm sure that ascot48 will never buy another ebay midget - there are just too many chances for someone to get the best of you. I know that I'd never buy a race car on ebay.

actually i bought mine off of midget madness.com classifieds. it was posted buy a clown that has a somewhat good reputation on that site. i thought that that site would be better than e-bay. my dad and i have to date put as much in the car as we bought it for. but it is now top notch and we are having fun with it.

I think the reader missed the point. Mr. Perkins is trying to save a fellow racer all the trouble he has experienced from this not so honest guy..... I called Bill before this post and in fact the guy will not even take his call. I have come across a few sprint car guys who are not on the level, lets just say. I have never said anything to any one, because I believe if you give a man enough rope and he will hang himself. I have in fact done some business with Bill and Will on more than a few occasions and found them to be absolutely straight up and great guys PERIOD. They go beyond what they need to do and do it with a smile on there face. Although our team only has 3 cars we will NOT be doing any business with Oval Track Direct or anybody else that we find out are not playing by the rules. I made a small fortune with an unlisted phone number, no business cards, no name for my company!!! When people ask how I did it and I tell them, most of them just don't get it. I did it exactly the opposite of how Oval Track Direct is doing it............... It's really sad
