Zack West ready for Silver Dollar Speedway point opener

Chico, CA – March 25, 2008…As the Silver Dollar Speedway Feather Falls Casino point race season is set to kick off this Friday night, Chico’s Zack West and the We St-ing Racing team are ready to do battle. West will be one of the expected 30 plus winged sprint cars ready to fight for the increased winning share that’s up for grabs during the first point night.
The opening point race will be tabbed as the first annual Bill Brownell night paying tribute to the Chico motorcycle legend. The big night of racing will pay a solid $3,000 to win the 410 sprint car main event. West and the No. 14 team got the motor back last weekend and have everything ready to go for the first point race of the Silver Dollar Speedway season.
“We got the motor back in time and I can’t wait to get on the track this Friday as we’ve just been finishing up the last second details,” West said. The young driver got his first taste of 410 sprint car racing last season and will look to build off the experience as he begins his sophomore season of action. “It has been a long off-season and with Lee Watson coming on board as our full-time crew chief I’m confident were going to have a good season.”
Sponsors for West and the team this year will include Community Construction, Ing Excavation, the Cinecon Group, Pace Supply, LRT Graphics, Graph X Designs and Butler Built Performance. Plans for the team are still to run as many of the Friday night point races as possible at Silver Dollar Speedway, as well as select events with the Golden State Challenge Series.
