but the only thing that could possibly be more sad than posting some racist bullshit like that on a respectable public racing forum - would be the message it sends that crap like that is welcomed on it...........hint hint.
I think there is a stark difference between some of the issues people have on here with each other and racist crap. when I get into it with anyone on here - it never really gets that distateful. and it really only offends the person I'm talkin too and even then - never meant on much a personal level. but you're post would offend an entire group (more like race) of people. and as unlikely as it is - I still hold out hope that at some point - maybe a few black folks could develop an interest in this areas dirt track racing. maybe even enough so that they would come to this forum and David's website for more information about it.
I ain't saying anything against people who find that to be funny. I'm saying that if an image of class is something this forum wants to portray - it wouldn't have any place here. My best friend and I sit around often heckling each other with Mexican and white boy jokes (he's latino) - we both know its a joke. and mud slinger when you say it - you probably mean it much the same way. but when you're putting it on this forum - you're putting it out for a bunch of people YOU DON'T KNOW to see it - they don't know how you mean it. hence it's an offensive opinion to everyone - not just african americans.

Time for Dave to remove this post. I'm probably more prejudiced than OKC or Dogwater (I'm a generation ahead of them) but I like Obama and there is absolutely no place for using racist remarks on this board.
Its amazing how many race fans are poorly educated redneck morons. Go back to watching your Fox "News" Channel and trying out for "My Big Redneck Wedding".

did your friend tell you that in private? or was it on a public racing forum?
look at your last 2 posts bud. a black man could walk into a room full of black guys and tell that joke and it probably be ok - but what do you think would happen if you - a white man - walked into the same room - and told the same joke - and then to top it off told them that they all must be nig**r's if they didn't laugh at it? I don't think we'd be lookin for any more of your posts on hoseheads - we'd be lookin for "mud slinger" in the Daily Oklahoman Obituaries and in it we could say that you were a victim of bad advice...................
now - this may be a racing forum as opposed to a room full of black guys - but it doesn't make it any less ignorant. there are many people who would look at your post and not be suprised - because our sport has been labeled by so many as being laden with racist white rednecks (especially local racing). we all know the vast majority of race fans are decent, respectful and honorable folks - but folks outside the sport do not. and there is yet another reason why posts like that make reinforce the negative image it has in many places. if that negative image of racing weren't there - I truly believe the pits and the stands would be way more..............colorful.
I apologize if you think I'm insulting you mud slinger. I'm only bashing on what you wrote and where you posted it. it is better for the sport if we all tried to dispell the incorrect perceptions of our sport - instead of reinforcing them...............
