Since I only read this forum and I never saw it here but I just heard at work that Boyd Coddington passed away last Tuesday from complications of diabetes. I know this has absolutely nothing to do with sprintcars but most of us on here are car nuts and he was a gearhead to the bone. Some of his American Hot Rod shows were a little over the top but all and all I enjoyed the show. R.I.P.

And the man who I credit with all the creativity that Boyd ever portrayed, John Buttera, died 4 days later. 'Lil John as he was known, built the first billet wheels, the first smoothie hot rod, the first clinically clean engine bay, all things that Boyd was renowned for and got the credit for.

Sad news for anyone like me who enjoy dirt racing and good old fashioned hot rodding... my condolences to the families of both John and Boyd.
Fenders are like vacuums... they both suck.
