Seymour, is a great addition. but why don' they race at Monster Hall, Arcadia, Manitowoc, Shawano, and Lancaster. i've seen some of the best races at these places, but now they don't race at 'em.

Monster Hall Raceway contact info: Ken & Cindy Juedes, Managers. Ph: (715) 223-2703 or (715) 659-3888.
Fox Ridge Speedway (Arcadia) contact info: Contact link on bottom of page, http://www.foxridgespeedway.com
Manitowoc: I would try either the County Expo folks (I am guessing they book the track events ?) or the EWSC racing folks. Just not sure who to get ahold of there, but sure someone will direct your questions to the right place perhaps.

http://www.ewscracing.com
Shawano contact info is upper right ar: http://www.shawanospeedway.net/index_files/index_speedway.htm
The Grant County Speedway site is kinda weak, but the contact info has been listed as:
Voice: 608-341-6100 E-Mail: [email protected]
If all else fails, Prez Steve at www.IRASprints.Com and shoot him a note.

Lancaster is an awesome venue, but their just aren't enough fans in the area to support a sprint show. I realize that at one point in time they packed the house, and I admit that the promoter of the last 3 sprint shows (who I worked for) coulda, shoulda, woulda put more effort and $$ into promtion of the sprint shows, but I don't think it would have made a difference. Things have changed in SW Wisconsin since the IRA first started running there, just too many entertainment options (including Saturday night NASCAR races, about 25% of their shows compete against the France Family) and lack of disposable income now.
Oddly enough I think that the higher gas prices will benefit the promotional group running the track right now, it should keep the locals closer to home.
It is a shame. Same with the Dubuque Iowa track......I had a shit eating grin for a week after that show despite waaaaayyyy too many red flags.

yeah Lancaster was great! it was like you were right on top of the track. really fast too.
i went over to the WoO show over in Arcadia 3 or 4 years ago. i thought that was one of the neatest places i've ever seen. the track which is most important was awesome. wide, banked, fast, and alot of passing. besides the track, it was just a beautiful area. nice people too. i thought that place was gonna become a big deal nationally as well as with the IRA. since then, nothing. i can't believe that. just wondering why that place hasn't taken off and become huge.

Fox Ridge shut their gates half way through the season last year. Tri-Oval Speedway in Fountain City reopened and there's not enough population down there to support two tracks on the same night. Nobody knows if Fox Ridge will reopen or not. That's too bad because it's a nice little track in a very scenic part of Wisconsin. I never liked climbing up and down that d*mn hill when I was taking photos but aside from that everything about the grounds and concessions was top notch.
