Excellent edge.
Been perplexed by NSCHoF induction standards after the panel felt Keith Kauffman needed to wait 3 plus years...
My winter project was sending hints of Danny Smith (along with Kaeding) to the voters I had E-Mail contact with, they took the bait for the King of "Kalifornia", so out of the guys I wanted in, I batted .500.
Thought minimum standards was 50 years aged, 20 year dedication in the sport. Some already enshrined-how did they meet even that?
A clarification could warrant apology.

Absolutely amazing column. The section about the NSCHoF balloting made for fascinating reading. I loved the line about Fitz often having to be pushed out of Victory Lane so that Pauch and Horton could finish the show. LOL

Thanks, enjoy your work.
If you're ever going to make it to Cedar Lake for the Richert Memorial be sure to let me know. One of the SCHOF voting members usually joins our campfire bench racing session. It would be amazing to be able to listen to both of you guys talking racing history. LOL, I've been watching this sport since 1962 and saw legends of the sport but have to look on an old program to find out who they were. I'm one of those photographer types who can't remember who won by the time I get home.
