just curious, how long has that flagman been working Perris? i have never seen a flagger wave a move over flag so frantically when the aproaching faster car is still a 1/4 lap or more away and slower car holding a nice line and in control, i think normally the flag is shown with a pop or a point to slower car so he knows faster car or cars coming and hold line and dont race upcominng car? just a thought,

I've driven Perris in a sprint car.that flagmans doing a great job. When it's not your night, the cars not working well, you've got your hands full and the more frantic and obvious the flagman is ,the greater the chances are you glance up and take notice of the warning.Theres not a driver running out there that wants to impede the race leaders, when it's not your night.A 1/4 lap behind and closing at Perris, the leaders can easily be on you before you pass the flagstand a second time. It's a diferrent view from inside the car and you have different needs. This flagman is doing well to meet the drivers needs.Good Job......

I'd tend to agree that flagging these races is a lot more difficult than it looks. That said, I think it would be more helpful to the drivers getting lapped if the first time the blue flag came out, the flagman wasn't halfway falling out of the flag stand to wave it at you when the leader is still a half lap behind. Just show the flag to the driver for the first couple laps and then go ahead and do the falling out of the flagstand routine once the leaders get a little closer.
