I would say that Hafertepe is not an All-Star member, based on him not being included in the points.

it's possible to run with a series and they don't give you points? why? surely something is wrong. rahmer and the other posse guys don't plan on coming back for the full schedule so they shouldn't have points. i'm just trying to figure it out.

I am sure Swamp will clarify this when he reads some of the post on here, but I always thought you had to be an All-Star member to earn points with them. Guys like Rahmer, Hodnett, Dewease, Layton always buy licenses because, among other things, it allows them to run the Dash during the All-Star races in PA. If I am wrong about that, I am sure Swamp will post the correct info.

You must be a member to receive points and you must run 85% of the races to get point fund money. some guys buy memberships just to get the benefits of free passes and discount passes - but have no intention of running for points. No different than any other year. Considering our two PA swings and the 5 races down here, it makes a lot of sense for the Posse cars to all buy memberships...but we all know they will drop out of the points in April/May.

Ahhh it's good to be a Posse fan. You always know that you can't win an argument on the internet. Why?
Because the Posse can't win on the road. Posse never travels... Blah blah blah... And should a Posse member win on the road, well he's not really Posse, or it was a fluke.... Blah Blah Blah...
Now should a member of the Posse become a traveler, well he is no longer Posse and Pennsylvania guys still can't take the big time... Blah Blah Blah.
Should a young posse driver leave PA and half a tough time on the road, well that proves that PA talent is no good. Ignoring the fact that Donny Schatz was a non factor on tour for a long time, and he got to stay on the road because he was in a family car.
Of course if my Porch was the coolest place in the universe why would I want to come out and play in the street anyway?

to disagree with most - I don't think the PA cars have a problem gettin off the porch. not at all. they even run very well quite often..............but the fans find the porch cozy. I don't see anybody arguing that that is 1 of the best states to watch sprints in - but Ohio and Indiana ain;t as far behind in talent - and especially not quality of racing - as a few select make that out to be. In fact, and someday I hope to see it to back the claim up as well - with Indiana being mostly wingless - I bet it is better............
damn it! I wasn;t even tryin to get that argument goin'.

Well the Outlaws definitely showed everyone why they are the best last night, but Central PA is looking pretty strong to leave Florida with the ASCoC points lead. I believe the new top 5 after last night reads like this:
1. 30C Lance Dewease, 2. 51 Fred Rahmer, 3. 25 Chad Layton, 4. 11B Brock Mayes, 5. 22 Greg Hodnett
Top 3 and 4 of the top 5 isn't too bad vs the All Stars. Yes, I know Lance is an All Star, but he still has 44 scheduled races in Central PA, so I think that counts for something.

...I have traded heated words with BRR for years on this board and I can tell he does not stay on the porch and "hide" from anyone...I have seen him all over Ohio (probably the state he bashes most)...I know for a fact he's been to Attica, Eldora, and Limaland, and not once have I seen him steer clear of anyone...in fact, after meeting him you may even be invited to watch a great night of racing from the VIP section at the Grove...you, yourself, just have to be brave enough to walk that aisle...LOL !

I haven't been around 410 racing long enough to understand these posts. I understand that the Outlaws are the best...I get that. What I don't understand, is how PA sucks so bad when they put 5 local racers and 2 travelers in the A-Main out of 52 cars consisting of Outlaws and All Stars, and they suck. I think only Stutts and Darrah missed the feature. That means nearly 80% of the drivers that left the Porch got paid last night. The All-Stars, at their sanction event, only put 3 in that I count, and that does include Dewease. I won't argue that PA has the best driver in the country. I can think of several places that have a couple drivers that can compete against the Outlaws, but remember last year, the two guys that beat the Outlaws (well, beat Schatz) last year only finished 10th and 14th in the points at Williams Grove. In other words, I'd bet there are at least 15 cars in a single night from Central PA that could beat the Outlaws on any given night. So while I won't argue the best driver, I will argue the best drivers top to bottom.
Just realized I missed Stevie Smith last night, so it was 7/10 in the feature for the Posse. I know he's not always considered Posse, but he raced here enough in recent years I'll count him.
