The national 410 sprint car championships takes place over three days at PCR in Sydney, commencing Thursday. The event is not open to international drivers, however Madsen, Tatnell, Skip Jackson, Lynton Jeffrey and a few others that are internationally known are in attendance.

86 cars have nominated and the format is similar to the Knoxville Nats in that the field has been seeded into two groups each doing a qualifying night. On Saturday it is features only, starting with the E-Feature.

On-line betting on all three nights is available with www.sportsbet.com.au as well as www.sportingbet.com

Sportsbet offers Win, Each Way and Top-10 bet types, whereas Sportingbet only offers Win and Place (top-3). The former has a market for all three nights, the latter only for the final night.

Online sports betting is legal here in Australia, however you should acqaint yourself with legislation in your own country (in particular the USA).

"The event is not open to international drivers"

OK, I'll bite. What would happen if the USA had a race that was not open to International drivers? Sounds like a croc to me.

"Oneway", it is an issue that is debated perennially here in Australia. The reason is that it is the Australian domestic championship. Many other sports globally have domestic as well as open national championships. Still, as I said, it does evoke much debate. It isthe only sprintcar event on the annual calendar that is closed to international participants.

Incidently, it looks a real possibility that we'll have betting available on all World of Outlaws Sprint races as well as the non-sanctioned majors like the Knoxville Nationals.

In many sports you have to be a resident of a certain state or district.
