Just wondering they never did say on TV why Shuman was taken out of the A-Main? Looked like on TV he made it. Just wondering what the reasoning was.

Never heard anything and I'm hoping the Jackslash gang found something out. Did anyone watch the replay to check and see? It sure seemed like he crossed in 6th!

Ron said it himself, after he DID make it to the A, He was tired and did not really think he would go that far. He was ready to park it. God bless him, he is one of my favorite racers and he made it to the main, but wisely chose not to race and let someone who was next in line, and has a career ahead of him, get in the main instead and go for it. Ron we know you made it the Main for the 11th time! You are the greatest. Sean. Tucson AZ.

I only buy t-shirts with the names of Legends on them. I have now got a Ron Shuman t-shirt.

Have always liked "The Fly'n Shoe" and always will. He is, in my opinion, one of those great drivers from the past that nobody ever talks about and one of the most versatile. Sprint cars, midgets, Silver Crown, winged, non-winged it didn't matter, he could drive anything and had class doing it.

Trust me, he is not forgotten over here in AZ and California. Ron is still very much involved in sprint car racing with ASCS.

Ron was actually running 9th behind 8th place Billy Wease when the 2 cars in front of them crashed in turn 3/4. Ron was able to go under them and get to the line before Billy, but the yellow was already flying, so they go to the last lap scoring and Billy was in front of Ron, that is why Billy was in the A.

Soooooo they ruled the finish on lap 19 of a 20 lap race? Sounds like Ron got screwed to me.
