What is the admission for Tuesday practice? Is that sold out? I don't want to drive over from OKC only to find that all seats are reserved, and there are none left. Because of the methanol fumes, I will only be there an hour or so, then I will return to OKC. Maybe this year they will finally have a ventilation system in place - I hope so. Does anyone know?

they have ventiliation turbines (i think thats what they are) above the track - bout a dozen or so I think. although considering how harsh it can get I wondered at times if they were operating. I paid 22$ apiece for 2 tickets - and as of a week ago I got aisle seats a row from the top on the front straight in section C or D - can't remember. I'm sure there are still seats left - can't comment on how good or where.
as for the fumes - wear a mask. I keep about 4 of em handy to breathe in about once every 45 min. or so. It probably looks comical - but I'd rather be comfortable and watch some good racing in the middle of January than get a migrane from choking on the fumes. although ironically it didn't matter how much I wore the thing saturday - my head was hurting so bad it was a hardcore effort just to walk down the stairs - although that was complicated by the people sitting in the aisles as well. people are so used to sittin in them aisles - that even at the Tulsa Shootout - when the front str8 stands were only about 30-40 % full - folks were still sittin in the aisles. rebels. lol.
but yeah man - wear a mask. fumes won't go away unless a muti-million dollar system gets put in place - and - well - it would cost a lot of money. and considering the place will be packed regardless - you get the idea. easier (and cheaper) I'm sure to just have a disclaimer.

I think there are still tickets for Tuesday night. At least the Chili Bowl website claims there are. You may want to check the website and give the office a call. Not sure about the price but still cheaper than the rest.
As far as the vents? Bring the MASK! I was at the Tulsa Shootout and it wasn't any better, ecspecially if you are higher in the stands. This was only the Micros and such, just imagine the Midgets.
Good Luck on your quest.

According to the website, located here,
www.minokc.com/chilibowl/tickets.php
there are still Tuesday tickets available, but I'd call the number on the page to confirm availability before making a drive...

There are going to be so many people there with extra tickets for Tuesday (the others in their parties won't arrive until W-Th-Fri) that you should be able to get a ticket for about $5 tops.

The midgets won't be any worse than what was at the Shootout. You got to remember that a few of the go-kart classes were two strokes, and yes I'll agree they made it pretty bad.

It's as good a way as any to teach your kid to quit eatin boogers ... If they eat 'em after a night at the Bowl they have a serious problem.
