From all of you who have known me for along time and supported my website to those who post constantly to those who use this site as their Monday morning readings while drinking your coffee to those who have frequented this site but never post and to even those of you who don't like me nor what I have with this site, I would like to wish ALL of you a very Merry Christmas and a very safe Holiday week.
There are times, especially on early mornings when I am at work, where I just want to quit this website. But everytime I think that, I read emails thanking me for this and that is what makes it worth while. Afterall, back in 1999 this site was developed for you racers and fans and it remains that today. The popularity of this site and what it has grown into continues to amaze me and I feel will continue to grow.
My Christmas wish is that all of you who do not post but frequent often start posting your thoughts and opinions and keep in touch via email. The majority of the racers at SFS know about this site and it is starting to get to the point where drivers from other tracks know about this site too. That is what makes this exciting for me and want to continue doing as I do.
I do hope and pray this Christmas holiday season finds all of you safe and that Santa is good too you. For all you mothers and fathers out there, no matter how old your kids are, spend special time with them and if there are any differences, be the bigger person and mend them. There is nothing more meaningfull in life than your kids as I know they are the reason why I have something to look forward too.
Thank you again for your support of this website and again, Merry Christmas and please, be safe.
David Smith Jr.

Merry Christmas David, and all posters and readers. Thank you for sticking with this site development and creating a place that's friendly for racers who know everything about racing to fans who don't know hardly anything about racing. It's all good, and it's all appreciated!

David,
This site is the big one for the Oklahoma scene and you are the one who makes it happen. Have a little mercy on the successor to your chair here, he will not catch a break as WE WILL ALL GIVE HIM HELL FOR NOT DOING THINGS LIKE YOU. Might as well save him from the rubber room and do what you do. It's cold now and I should have some stuff on the Tidbits From The Past soon. I will post no more stories about racist stray dogs!LOL
Merry Christmas sir

Thanks! Merry CHRISTmas to you and your family too. I would also like to thank you for this site. Lets also remember "The Reason For The Season". Gifts are nice but if it wasn't for "The Reason" there wouldn't be any gifts. Merry CHRISTmas to to all and a Happy New Year. God Bless!

Merry Christmas to all my fellow Sooner State race fans and their families. And be safe all the way through the New Year.
as far as the website. like anything else it has its ups and downs - fun times and boring times. But in the end serves a very cool and decent purpose. whether we all ramble on bout racing or anything else - we all have one huge thing in common. and through that and the site its cool to touch base with new folks or old friends whoever you are. I'm on here some days more than other - but no matter the context or length I always enjoy it.
I'm not much thinkin this website chains Dave down.............although between hectic schedules and preparing columns for the mod race scene I imagine he's gonna stay busy for quite some time. there may just be a handful of us that post consistently - but in looking at the numbers - there's a WHOLE BUNCH of folks that are on here readin'. it isn't only the largest race forum in Oklahoma - but maybe all bordering states as well. and whereas sometimes feathers get a bit ruffled - it really is one of the most well behaved forums there are. and most everyone here is fairly sensible and intelligent. I don't see many race forums outside of the hoseheads variety that are worth much of my time.............
but anyhow before I go any further - Merry Christmas again to you all...................

David, I think you are doing a GREAT job, I cannot imagine anyone thinking any less. Keep it up.
If we lose You and the ORA Booster Club, we as Fans and Racers will loose it all.
