High Limit is off this weekend, presumably to leave teams' schedules open so they can go to Williams Grove for the $75,000 to win National Open. Only 3 showed up, Peck, Marks, and Holmes. What gives?
Stout field? H-L has drivers capable of running with the WoO and PA Posse. Peck finished 3rd last night.
Distance? Holmes is there from Oregon.
Don't need the money?
Politics?

I have also been waiting for this question to be answered... HL was initially launched because the WoO members weren't allowed to race enough? BS folks!

So much freedom so little racing. Where are all the Hi Limit freedom fighters? I'm sure the warriors on here will come up with an excuse to defend the organization that is taking the sport to it's highest level.

Can we stop with the "crown jewel" silliness? The Nationals and King's Royal are the only crown jewels. The NO is just another over-hyped outlaw show on a crap track. I don't blame the HL teams for not showing up. "Greatest show on dirt", right dsc?

Last Time I checked, Sye Lynch is also a regular on the High Limit Circuit. Your point is taken though.

You're right. It looks like I just went through the A and B main finishes. Looks like Lynch was 13th in the C. He must have had some issues.

One other we are forgetting about....the 55 driven by Brady Bacon is also a High Limit car.

So if five HL teams showed up then HL must not be stopping their from showing.

I'm not sure which made me happier, that Dietz won in Posse territory against the WoO, or that Schatz finished a close 2nd.

I dunno. What do you call a race that is on it's 61st year, pays 6+ times the standard WoO or H-L race, and is one of the biggest 410 winged sprint car races on the east coast?
To be honest, I do think that the term "crown jewels" is a weird reference to car races. It makes me think of horse racing.

Rico was going but he posted midweek that he wasn't feeling so hot and decided to sit the weekend out.

I could see a sanctioning body say you can't go but I don't see how they could tell their regulars they must go when they are not sanctioning the event. Maybe the HL guys knew they were racing for second in Deitzland.

Man I feel bad for Balog, I wanted him to pull this one out. Chase Dietz seems like a nice young man, the respect and emotion in his voice when speaking of this enormous crown jewel event was palpable.
What a race. What a sport.

Donny looked good. Shows how important dash draw to start minimum of 8th Dietz is very fast evertwhere to win that many features . Williams Grove races better when lap times slow down. When Buddy has to use a provisional it shows how tough the track can be. There were several HL cars there just not Rico.
