With the WoO weekend a complete washout, I wonder if any will back track to Knoxville for the weekend.

The Outlaws have been given a free pass for this weekend to race at Knoxville or Williams Grove and the races will not count againts their four allowable non-Outlaw races.

That's kind of cool they would allow that.

I've thought that it would be cool if for every rainout they add a freebie. As others have said many dont use all 4 of their freebies anyways

A win for everyone. There will be be extra fans just to see the best. I think admission will be free so even better. I watched HL race in Texas. Day and Larsen were there and Rico was back but crowd was small and there were some destroyed cars and yellows so the traffic was minimal and some cars that werent up to speed made the field. Madsen and Reutzel werent playing nice. Too easy for Kyle better when He has to pass a few better cars. More fun for him and the fans but thats the format. The fans would love to see top cars start back aways or have an invert draw with extra money for passing. The top 6 cars are so equal and when track is longer and smooth the dash determins winner.

I don't ever remember watching an entertaining race on this track. Day got a few spots on the start, and then stalled out. Likely Larson doesn't win from farther back than 4th anyways. "Top" cars starting in the back would have just handed the race to a car that unloaded mediocre, so that doesn't make sense either. The format got this one correct, just as it does the majority of Outlaw races---since they are in fact essentially the same format.

I dont think there has been an entertaining race at Texas or really at any of the Speedway Motorsports tracks like Texas, Vegas, and Charlotte. Facility wise they are typically nice but actual on track performance I would rank them all the way at the bottom. Watching the highlights, it looked like there was some decent (for Texas) racing going on throughout the field, Larson is just extremely good in traffic which made it even further of a mediocore race for the lead.
I would say for the 2nd straight weekend Knoxville will be the place to be to see a race. Judging by the current weather here in Ohio, track officals made the right call for everyone.

I think the Macedos are going to CA.
Regardless we should see some "invaders"

This is our 3rd year having a seasonal campsite at Knoxville and I have yet to be disappointed making the 4+ hour drive for a show 1 or 2 times per month. The racing is almost always good-great. You are correct though, Texas, Vegas, and Charlotte have a lot of hype, etc, but I have not seen a good race put on at any of those facilities that I can remember. Give me a race at Eagle, I-55, Knoxville, or some of the random Indiana tracks!

The SMI tracks just don't have any character. They are the Riverfront, Three Rivers, and Veterans stadiums of short tracks.

I agree with you on Texas and Vegas, but I've seen several great races at Charlotte.
