Grand Rapids & Hibbing Kicks Off 2026 Diamond Sprint Car Series – May 21-23!

Grand Rapids, MN 4/22/26 by DarinShort.com. Memorial Day will kickoff with a roar in northeastern Minnesota with three consecutive nights of PIRTEK Diamond Sprint Car Series events on Thursday May 21st (The Grand Rapids Speedway), Friday May 22nd and Saturday May 23rd (Hibbing Speedway). Both the Winged and Traditional (non-winged) divisions of the series will be competing all three nights.

The Diamond Sprint Car Series features some of the best sprint car teams in the upper Midwest, and they will be competing in complete racing programs of heat races and features each night.

The series also invites racing fans to arrive early each night to take in Fan Fest (it’s free). This will allow fans to meet the drivers, check out their team merchandise and get an up close and personal look at the cars they will see racing that night – not to mention great opportunities for selfies and pictures with the drivers! Specific details on Fan Fest will be posted as each event draws nearer.

The Grand Rapids Speedway is located at 1336 Fairgrounds Rd, Grand Rapids, MN 55744. Click http://www.grandrapidsspeedway.net/ for the track website. It is a 3/8-mile dirt oval. Specific gate and start times, ticket prices, as well as additional racing divisions will be posted soon.

Hibbing Speedway is located at 1799 E 23rd St, Hibbing, MN 55746. Go to http://hibbingspeedway.com/ & check out the track website. The track is a 1/4-mile semi-banked clay oval. Complete details of each nightly event will be posted in the days to come.

The Diamond Sprint Car Series features many of the top winged and traditional (non-winged) sprint car racing teams in the upper Midwest, and drivers are competing this season for a diamond championship ring in each division. The top series points winner will take home the coveted championship prize.

The Diamond Sprint Car Series is proud to be sponsored by PIRTEK. Their company focuses on minimizing or eliminating costly equipment downtime due to a failed hose. Their preventative maintenance and emergency hose replacement services are second to none and are available nationally at more than 200 U.S. PIRTEK franchise locations. They are your one-stop shop for hydraulic and industrial hose service. Click www.PirtekUSA.com for the franchise location near you.

The kickoff of the 2026 Diamond Sprint Car Series also features a new ‘anthem’ titled ‘Diamonds In The Dirt’ written and produced by www.DarinShort.com. This song will be played to the crowd at each Series event this season, just prior to the cars coming out on the speedway, in an effort to get them fired up for the event to come. Make plans to join us for an exciting 3-nights of sprint car racing on Memorial Day weekend as the 2026 PIRTEK Diamond Sprint Car Series fires up in a big way on May 21st at The Grand Rapids Speedway and then off to Hibbing Speedway on May 22nd and 23rd. Click www.DiamondSprintCarSeries.com for complete series and schedule information. We look forward to seeing you all at the track soon!
