I guess I never understood the relevance of being a bad ass. When a man who is 50 lbs. heavier and 4 inches taller physically threatens a smaller man, I think that's more cowardly than a questionable move on the track. It's kind of like an edge rusher celebrating after sacking a quarterback who is 125 lbs. lighter and concentrating on something else. Not to mention it's not 1980 anymore. Take it too far, and you could end up in prison.

I understand where you're coming from, but IMO i would rather have a scuffle with someone rather than playing games on the track. Doing it on the track you're risking someones life and somebodies 100,000 race car. Yes it isn't 1980 anymore and IMO some people have gotten to soft and there seems to be no consequences for there dumb actions. Take it to far, and you could kill someone on the track. All a lot of them do is run their mouth and don't exspect anything to happen to them by doing it. I guess some of us just come from a different era.

I don't understand why a scuffle will keep things from happening again on the track. If I'm Kofoid, and Brown comes up and bitch slaps me, I'm going to give it to him again next time I have the chance. Maybe worse. And if the tough guys from back in our era decided to really give someone an ass kicking in 2026---like a bad ass kicking---the kind that might make you think twice about running me up the wall---they could end up in cuffs. So no, this is not a good idea anymore either way. I never saw Donny Schatz kick anyone's ass. I also do not see anyone pull that crap on Donny. The ass kicking part has absolutely nothing to do with it IMO.
Just my thoughts. Feel free to disagree!

Respect is earned. The slide jobs are a product of midget racing and also wingless racing where they seem to run inches from another car and not make contact.. The front ends are easily knocked out and can result in violent flips.Bad asses are not allowed.anymore. The fans get more physical than racers but usually cool beverages help.

I have a theory. When the drivers first names all start looking like an 8U soccer team, the sport is going to be in trouble.
We need more Jud, Don, Eddie, Larry, Gary, Jack, Steve, Dave, Sam, Bob.
Less Braxten, Jaydin, Aiden, Kaden, Blaydin, Jacksyn, Cooper, Jakeb, Brecken, Gunnar, Chelby. (those last 4 I took right from the USAC midget results are you freaking kidding me)
Now obviously I'm joking but not really.
