I just come across this cool video tour through the Maxim Chassis shop in Springfield, Illinois.
They built around 400-500 sprint cars a year

Chuck Merrill was a great ambassador to sprint car racing . The K cars set the standard of which most cars are based on. There are many imitations that work well but Maxim was usually at the top. We were driving a Maxim and Chuck gave us a brand new firesuit which was appreciated.
