Another thing to ponder: what effect, if any, did the no dash redraw and no dash have on the Tuscarora 50 winner coming from 8th?

Are we witnessing the second coming of Kyle Larson winning from wherever, or was it the format?

if there had been a dash or redraw, doesn't that mean Timms would have started maybe in 9th? Would the outcome have been different?

The Tuscarora Fifty has always been Port Royal's race. Even with the AllStars the first two nights were AllStar rules and the Fifty was Port Royal rules. By the way a few tears ago Macri won from 19th. What does that make him A.J. or Mario. Macri also went 16th to 7th in four laps before he broke this year. Timm's results the first two nights were 16th and 21st. It all depends on how the chips fall with the top cars as close as they are.

It rained .02" that day, so Timms would have won from the C.

Does anyone else think the dash is mostly for the purpose of giving mostly and likely 8 woo guys a last chance to set the car up better with info from the most current track conditions available?

I don't think that's the purpose at a All Star race or Hi limit race (to give 8 WoO guys a last chance to set the car up)

Very true. I  mentioned one touring series to reduce the risk of callouses on my thumbs.

He started 8th and won by 7.2 seconds. I think you answered your own question.

The format is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. 6 heats and you invert 4 and only take the heat winner to the dash? That's nonsense. If you're only taking the heat winner then there shouldn't be an invert. Otherwise take the heat winner and fast timer out of each heat to the redraw like usual. Not to mention the fast timer has to advance a position just to qualify. Nothing like rewarding guys who didn't time quite well enough. Why waste time with TT's with such a wacky format. Just draw.
