Sozo say's....

"""but no late models. Looks like another banner year for us LM fans."""

Hang in there buddy. The SUPR Late Models WILL BE on the Lone Star Nationals event card in September. The SUPR Late Models will replace the sprint cars this year. The September event had 12,000 fans in attendence in it's first ever fall Lone Star Nationals event at the TMS dirt track. God know how many will show up this year. So if you plan on coming to the fall event. Don't pussy foot around and wait until the last minute to get your tickets. If I remember correctly, there was about 54 Late Models on hand last March. Each year more and more come. It should be a good race!

The Lone Star Nationals fall event will also include the Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks with IMCA rules. A little over 300 cars showed up for the event.

Wed. is practice. They also haven't mentioned the $100 parking spot if you want to park within a 1/2 mile of the race track.

It will be the first major modified race for the 2008 race season within three hours from home at a great facility with part-time track prep. You will be amongst fellow "Okies" for the first time in the new year and you will be on a dirt track racing modifieds.

Did I mention that if your in this deal to make money then maybe you better go to Vegas or Tunica cause this is dirt track racing?

I will see you down there, J.D., if I don't see you before.

Count me out. Too cold last year and, from a fan's perspective, a really poor racetrack. Plus no late models. Worst show I've been to in years.

You are right nonwing bill. It was very cold. Odds are with us this year however. Mother nature just can't be that cold three years in a row could it? Lol!

I don't know if you was at the 2006 event. But the fans was on there feet to watch three drivers duke it out for the win in the mods last several laps. Last year we saw several great runs in qualifiers and various mains. The track was good. But with the NEW changes that will take place after the success of implementing those changes in the fall event....expect to see a very good track. I would not compare last years event to what you may see this year by any means. I expect close to 300 total cars ( Modifieds and Limited Modifieds ) to show up.

Your right, '06 was awesome. The mod feature was one of the best I've seen. Chad Wheeler was a gentleman racer coming to the checks. But last year left a really bad taste.

dude last years track sucked! it was decent at first - but then laid a bunch of rubber in the middle. It was just a fast freight train through the middle of the track. then while sitting at one of the nicest dirt tracks I have ever seen - this dinky lil thing came out to track work I guess - but really the only thing it served was to prolong an already long show in freezing weather and unbearable wind - and did I mention whatever this device was had no effect on the track at all?

for such a big show and nice track - get proper track equipment.

but like many of you - I look forward to the event again this year - it would be just communist for the weather to be that bad again..............

200+ mods is great - but my boxers are soaked for close to 300 midgets in Tulsa.............and then 100 sprints in Knoxville and Little Rock. Mods are great - but why no more open wheel events at TMS dirt track???????

How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a
wouldchuck could chuck would

Looks like somebody at a local racing parts company has way to much time on their hands.
