There is already a rule that 3 santioning bodies agree on 100% aside from the punctuation of the sentence. The HL did nothing wrong here. The 2 team did. Maybe they cheated, or made a mistake or didn't read or didn't care or used a tape measure from Temu. The HL has the right, the authority and even the responsibility to randomly check cars to put a little fear into each team to keep it honest.

I agree 100% with what you've written here. I'm just suggesting that there's an easy way to simplify that rule. Rules is rules, but rules also evolve. If the rules didn't evolve, there would be 1000# sprint cars with 500 cubic inch magnesium motors and 7'x7' wings.

Impossible! That would have been caught in the post-race inspection,after weighing, when they measure the wings and other import stuff.
