High Limits Sweet doesnt even have to make weight, but 1/2 inch on a front wing on a WoO car and "Half Inch" Hess gives Gravel the boot.

So you guys expect High Limit to bend the rules for Cody Jacobs after he got online and absolutely trashed the series while claiming that his car was 100% legal.      Which it wasn't....

Really ??

Also consider that this Jacobs/Gravel car has been also been DQed at Eldora by the Outlaws after finishing second and failing a post race inspection.      This doesn't look like a High Limit problem to me.    This looks like a problem with the 2 car.

I mean, in Cody's defense, maybe he thought they would let it slide like so much other stuff has.

That may be the last straw!  Look for Todd Quiring to buy FloRacing, High Limit, and Kyle Larson out of his petty cash fund! Smile

It sure is entertaining and the whole HL vs WOO is a joke i mean there have been mutilple series in the late models for years all to allow guys to earn a living while racing. Also  for those of you who dont think Gravel had an advantage with his front wing to far front well you are wrong.

Is this the first High Limit race that Gravel has been in since his crew chief did the profanity-laced rant on the internet about H-L? The crew chief said their cars are "100% legal". Maybe that was seen as a challenge?

dmantx post in another thread :

Regarding last night's post-tech inspection at Eldora, and the result, this rule is nowhere near 'new news' to anyone that races sprint cars or techs them. Direct excerpts on this topic:

2025 ASCS rules: iv. Maximum distance from the Center Foil front edge to the front edge of the front axle may not exceed 20 inches.

2025 WoO Rules: d. The maximum distance from the Center Foil front edge to the front edge of the front axle may not exceed 20 inches.

2025 HL Rules: iv. The maximum distance from the center foil front edge to the front edge of the front axle may not exceed 20 inches.

These three sanctioning bodies rules on this topic literally couldn't be any more identically stated than they are. Teams know all about this rule - and have for years...WoO, HL, ASCS... and if teams don't like a certain rule, talk to your sanctioning body about why you think this rule, or any rule you don't agree with should be tweaked or removed.

Maybe this rule just needs a little tweaking? If the rule is in place to eliminate front wing damage when one sprint car bonks into the back of another, why not just say the wing can't protrude further forward than the front bumper? It seems like like would simplify things and eliminate a lot of lost sleep among fans.

Then, they would need a rule to state how far the front bumper can be from the front axle!

Exactly. They already have a rule. No need to make a rule.

We're looking at this from 2 entirerly different perspectives. The wing placement rule is there so the wing doesn't get knocked off if you bonk into the car ahead of you. It's obviously behind the front bumper now, or you'd still have the problem. Make the front of the bumper be the limit for the front of the wing. There's now a super easy way to check that rule. There's probably already a rule about placement of the front bumper. Weren't mandatory front bumpers added a few years back?
