No snark, honest question. Where did Tyler Walker go?  I thought he had a plan to run PA Speedweek with a local team? I *thought* I had seen someone comment on his perfomance in one race. Did that plan fall through?

He did run, but I am unsure if he was there for all of it.  Finished 17th at Lincoln coming out of the B.

He was at all of them. Didn't qualify for very many.

Tyler is getting a lot of support. Chaz seems to be following his comeback attempt. Give him credit for trying but be a long road as at one time He was good as any but a lot of things happened. Give him credit for trying to turn his life around.

They had equipment issues one night, not sure he even made a qualifying run that night.

Video out there of DD working on the front end of his car as the crew is making some changes.

Tough to be fast with a new team (to you), haven't been in the seat in a while and a couple of those tracks are technical.

He didn't pile it into the fence, didn't blow a motor and made 1 or 2 features.  Probably a succesful week if one is being realistic.

Let's say tyler makes an appearance at the Knoxville Nationals this year. Where do you think he finishes Saturday night? I am thinking top 5 in the C main realistically. Never was a fan of his but pulling for the guy to keep on a good path here.

I tried to follow also but think there were a lot of rainouts?

As long as he stays clean I will surport him. I saw his 1st race at Calistoga California.

Top 5 of the C maybe a stretch but I could see it... The C at the Nationals is usually a pretty stout field. Walker could always rip the lip around Knoxville pretty good though.

I  don't see a way on God's green earth he makes it to the top 5 of the C, but we've seen stranger things.  (Jeff Swindell put it in the A just a few years ago)

Maybe, but he will make a killing in t-shirt sales....

I'd agree with this.  You are talking one of the top 50 drivers in sprint cars to be top 5 in the C.  Might have a chance with a solid, existing team, but trying to shake the rust off and work with a new team and new equipment was a big ask in PA.  It would be the same in Knoxville.  Although with the top 4 of Friday night's feature moving on to Saturday........

Team owner Ron Rutherford has T shirts for sale at his restaurant. Mamma's Pizza in Wellsville, PA. 717-432-9443.  I'm sure he could send you one. He would like to run Tyler in more races this year but they need some sponsorship for that to happen. Maybe a high dollar corporate one. I was suprised Tyler made two features here in PA, he had an impressive run at Lincoln it was good to see him rim riding around that joint. There is definately some fan support for TW in posse land.

Not everybody gets a second chance. Sprint car car racing to run respectfully takes money. Age and hard living have taken their toll but hope for the best. His journey gives the fans someone to like or not but they will buy a seat.

I figure at the present, Tyler Walker is probably as good as Sammy Swindell. Sammy pulled off a 5th place finish last year at the Nationals, but it was in the E-main.

I hope the car is as colorful as that design is. I get tired of black cars.

If nothing else, there is some savvy marketing going on there with the sponsorship, graphics, and web presence.  I hope it all continues to stay positive.  Wish them well!!!
