Any thing that helps drivers and owners bottom line. Brad and Kyle are the front men but we all know Flo is backer. Streaming is a big deal and betteng might help. HL is for real and with Kyle and Bell when they can is a big draw plus a lot more personalities with Rico Cory Tyler and Brad James? with the personalities that attract fans and viewers . different than the other splits in the past.

Judging by the crowds they are getting it's a huge draw. Unprecedented.

$17m over 4 years at an average of 60 races a year equates to over $70k a race the series is putting towards its point fund and tow Money. That's not including $60-70k in purse money. If the series can alllocate $130-140k per race to its teams before any other expenses, god bless them. But that's a pretty absurd amount of expenses.

The charter money replaces point fund and tow money. They will average 2 years of point finishes to calculate what position of charter money you get. So i guess the benefit is you will know how much you will be getting at the start of the season and will be paid through the season. Bummer is you win the title you won't get a larger sum at the end of the season just will bring your average up to calculate the next years amount.

If you're racing for a living, this forces you to make a decision on what makes your bottom line look better. The amount of money we're talking about is quite a bit better than the other brand. This will force the other brand to up their game and this whole thing will boost car counts for both brands, which is better for the fans.

I would think that a lot of local and regional racers are now re-evaluating their future.

If I was to guess at some point it has to raise ticket and concession prices at their races but dirt racing specials are already rivaling festval prices.  Weekly shows around us aren't too pricey but I don't do those much anymore.  Streaming just works best now.

They must have pushed the 74n off a while ago.  I could hear the motor idling over in their driveway for a while.

Really Like High Limit and what they are attempting to do, at least previously.

QUESTION, if you don't have a franchise next year, what incentive is for Macedo, Gravel, Donny or any one else to run or switch over to high limit if they do not get the perks of being a franchise team and additional money that goes with it.?

I like the concept that teams have real tangible value.  But I had hoped drivers like Gravel, Macedo, Donny, Sheldon etc would switch sides.  My uneducated guess, they would only switch over if they joined a franchise team.

I don't foresee teams buying franchises.

In Nascar, teams really don't have options to race for big money other than NASCAR.  Sprint car teams can race WOO, High Limit, PA, CA or pick and choose.  Yeah, if you are already a High Limit Franchise Team (or likely from this year points), IT SOUNDS AWESOME.  Kinda odd they had to talk Marks to join, while someone like Roth with Toyota support choose to not support High Limit this year

Can someone explain to me, why this is good for sprint car racing teams that want to do a touring series (if they are not already a High Limit franchised team) ????

$2.6K 2025, $2.9K 2026 and $3.4K   why in the hell would I run that series knowing going in I could not participate for this money, while franchise teams can.  I HATE that WOO will not let there teams race much outside of the series, or their souvenir sales deal, but I HATE this worse.

Does anyone see anyone buying kasey kahne's or Clausen's franchise for millions of dollars down the road? are there venture capitalist like nascar and f1 that could/wound want to do this (I HOPE I NEVER SEE a venture capitalist at a sprint car team wink

If High Limit had announced this 6 months before 2024 season, just maybe this would of worked in getting the majority of the top teams.  This certainly gives IMHO options for WOO to hold onto their drivers and gain new.  What happens if the money drys up and there is only 12-14 full time teams total traveling, hell in 2022 and 2021 WOO had 8 and 9 full time teams.  I love sprint car racing, but it's a niche sport, or expensive hobby for most car owners.  Old saying in racing, how to make a small fortune in racing, start with a large one.  However with High Limit franchises, u can not even make a small fortune wink for a new team to the series

Why not just double the purse? That would bring in all the cars without the flim-flam sales pitch?

Lots of answers to your questions here.  There is point fund and tow money available for non-franchise teams, and also the possibility of additional franchises beyond the 10 after the 2025 season.

I think there room for two touring series. They are doing this in hopes of attracting teams to better their odds of  survival. This way if they don't make it work they might never pay this money. If they raise the purse for every race they know for sure they have to come up with the money each race. They are dangleing carrots in front of teams to get them. It will all depend on how many teams think they will get the carrot. The Outlaws sure have a lot of rookie drivers this year so am not sure everyone is buying it.

This fan doesn't think it's better when I go to a sprint car race that's supposed to be the best drivers in the sport, yet it's not.   Some of those drivers are racing in another place.    This has some fans thinking of dropping the sport altogether...

And let me add that I don't give a diddly damn which one of those races has Kyle Larson...

Kyle is who puts me in a seat at the racetrack during big shows.  If he is not going to be there for a big show I am NOT going to that race.  Larson is the most versitale driver I have seen since the mid 80's.

I like a lot of the other drivers too.  But not as much as when that 57 is in the pits.  If you want to be the best you have to beat the best!

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Don't financial instruments like this have to carry FEC warnings like a stock prospectus, where they have to disclose that the information is based on what might happen and that nothing's guaranteed?

If attending a race depends on ONE driver being there than your really not that much of a fan of the sport.

Larson is a generational talent, but we have to remember he has a tough time choosing between the Port and their superior surface vs. wherever Larson is racing..
