Last weekend was Williams Grove. Tonight is Lincoln. There were no other tracks within a half day's drive that could have done a Friday show?

Murphy,
A lot of tracks are closed now and when they do that they tear the place apart or bring in new clay to get a head start on the next season. We’ve had nice weather onporch so I expect they are taking advantage of that and doing construction.
Port Royal, Williams Grove, and Hagerstown are closed for the season.
BAPS & Bridgeport are still open but they already had races scheduled for last night.
Selinsgrove is having issues which are well publicized
Port Royal didn’t want this date anyway which is why Selinsgrove originally got the weekend anyway (rumor)
It looks like New Egypt could have hosted a race.

The Port Royal statement is correct.

That is not the way I heered it. But yes Port Royal would have liked a better date also. Port gave them two races this weekend and Selinsgrove had two schedule also before their issues.

The October Friday date at Port Royal is one of the few WoO races that resembles a High Limit show in terms of attendance. It just never took off. Saturday was usually decent, but I'm sure they looked at past dates and thought that unless it's at the Grove, it probably won't draw on a Friday.
Tonight's crowd at Lincoln looks to be excellent.
