Talking to some people in the know at Port Royal speedway last night. Do not expect anymore events at Selinsgrove under the ERS Promotions team.

Sure hope it somehow survives and in its current configuration.
Time flies, but, man, that was the shortest 10 years ever.
My connected source told me there were guys still waiting to get paid after the last 410 race. Not the winner or top cars, but guys in the top ten and below

I can remember back to the Area Auto interview when the head of the new team took over and some of the things she said about the previous team before her and it sure wasn't a good look to come out of the gate like that. Hopefully things get turned around in a positive direction for the place.

Well since the track has no power i don't think you will see any racing anytime soon. Also Heimbach pulled his equipment out of the track so nothing to prep the track with. Not to mention she still owes former track prep Don Leiby $6,300 and All Star Enterprises.

Not saying what you were hearing at Port wasn't legitimate.....heck we all have been worried about the place and for that matter have heard some of the same rumors......but after rereading the facebook post - what sticks out to me is the promotion of the Paul Long late model raise.....and the Association of Jenna Mowery and Paula Schick - Paul Longs granddaughter and daughter respectively - whereas it wouild lead me to assume an honest attempt to run Sunday night......

All these post got me curious so I looked up Selinsgrove on facebook and a post 51 minutes ago confirmed they are racing this weekend with Latemodels, 410 Sprints and Roadrunners.

I believe All Star Enterprises was the All Star Circuit Of Champions formerly owned by Tony Stewart. They had a race at Selinsgrove in 2023. Don Leiby is a track worker at Williams Grove and was the track prep guy year one under ERS Promotions at Selinsgrove speedway.

A street stock type class that uses real steel bodies.

Not yet buy wouldn't be surprised if those races are moved to Williams Grove, Lincoln or Path Valley.

You are right. It should be at Lincoln Speedway!
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

No. They've already sold a boatload of tickets for the outlaw shows. From what I'm hearing, those will be the last races run at Selinsgrove Speedway. Next year it will be a truck stop. Enjoy this historic track while you can. The source is a state representative so I think it's legit. Tough to make it in these times, especially when the other local tracks are working against you. I really don't think any central PA tracks are safe. I went to the Dream race at Port a couple weeks ago and it was total ghost town and we know how empty the Grove is for weekly shows. Times have changed and young folks just aren't into dirt track racing like we were growing up.

Bash Stephanie all you want but Selinsgrove would already be dark for 2 years if she didn't take the lease. Nobody else is stepping up to the plate to save the track. Former track sponors and local busineses would rather support Baps or Port, despite the fact that it does no good for their business which are mostly tied to the Selinsgrove area. How many cars has Selinsgrove Ford sold in Newberrytown? How many homes has River Valley Builders built in Port Royal? Support your local track or lose it!

Since they can't pay the All Stars what makes the WoO think they will get paid.
https://trellis.law/doc/209676205/complaint-equivalent-pleading-filed-complaint-for-damages
It's also kinda ironic that the two Outlaws teams didn't run the Speedweek show at Selinsgrove. I wouldn't be surprised if WoO told them they could run the race because they were pulling the 2 day show in October. Teams and drivers know before fans a majority of the time.

Where does the WoO belong during those dates? I don't go to many WoO shows, the racing product and the large crowds turn me off, but if they raced at Path Valley I would gladly attend. Selinsgrove is my favorite half mile I have many good memories from there. I would hate to see it go. Unfotunately mega truck stops are a big business venture and are popping up more frequently, the speedway is located in a prime area for one. I truly hope the fire company or fairboard decide to keep the speedway alive.
